The location pn Robson was excellent. We were able to walk to museum, harbour, and water bus to Granville Island. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable. The room was comfortable but very tired. It is in need of a deep clean - walls, baseboards, etc. and new drapes. We loved that we could open the patio door for fresh air at night. Great value for the price.

The lady I didn’t get her name at check-in was excellent. I checked In ealrier because my room was ready I really like this hotel. It’s dares but it has charm I was the only person in f to he room. Selected pay on arrival through Expedia, but they charged my card before I arrived, leading to it being blocked. I called to ask about this and the lady on the phone threatened to cancel the reservation. So not a nice first impression and also not following the Expedia policies. The staff was very friendly. The property is also very secure. I liked the double windows. There are only 4 rooms per floor. Nice locating on the West End of Vancouver. What I didn't like was that there was a price for anything other than the room rate. If you wanted to use the kitchen facilities, it was an extra cost. There was even a keylock for the cabinet that had the dishes. If you used anything in the kitchen like cups, etc, it was an extra cost. They even made it known that there was a cost if you took the air conditioning remote. I overheard one guest who was taking a friend up to his room & the front desk person charged him for that & took her ID. I felt like the song in Les Miz & was going to be charged extra for the lice & mice. I did have a basis for comparison because the next night I went to a similar property up 3 blocks that was totally different in a better way.
