The Sutton Place Hotel is lovely! I had read some poor reviews, but we did not have any problems. The only negative would be the size of the shower--very tight for a tall person and a big person would have a hard time in there. Our servers for dinner and breakfast were friendly and the food was good. I like having carpet in my room, for comfort on my feet and sound mitigation. The carpet was nice, but there was one stain, probably coffee. Beds were comfortable and neat. If you want real quiet, get a King suite with the separate room that does not have a window so you don't hear street noise. Also a great location! Just valet your car and save yourself the headache of trying to park downtown.

We were able to check-in at 10am straight from the cruise ship which was great & unexpected, as well as getting a free upgrade to a deluxe room. Only negative was the pool/outside sunbathing area was small, full of kids & hot tub didn't have any jets working.

Rip off pricing. Small rooms. Rip off parking. Rip off breakfast. Thru hotels.com only 40$ covered. For two people it is going to be 88$ with tax. Forget the money, it is like a small roadside hotel Breakfast. Cheap. Rooms are big in the photos but small in reality. Old washroom furniture it will come off and it did and fell on my legs in the bathroom.

Generally a nice property. The rooms are clean and fresh. I had a suite and it was very comfortable other than the lumpy pillows. The turnoff was how unwelcoming I felt. I pulled up in my car to check in and the staff watched me open my trunk and struggle to get my bag out. Then I was scolded for taking my luggage out and how I should have parked first. The check in clerk had zero smiles. Staff outside were busy talking with each other rather than attending to guests. First impressions leave lasting ones.

Beautiful, grand hotel. Updated Large rooms with lovely bathrooms. Walkable and safe good dining, great shopping options. Property wasn’t able to accommodate for early check in and room upgrade. Parking at the hotel is for a fee of $55. Early bookings are recommended.
