So my husband and I have stayed at this hotel a lot over the past several years. I am in the are once or twice a year. I was there the week before Thanksgiving. We stayed at the hotel when it first opened. The staff is always courteous. On this visit and the last visit my husband and I both commented that the hotel is in need of an upgrade. In the dinning area the chairs are all warn. The hotel rooms are ok.

I chose this location because (1) I am a Marriott Rewards Gold status member and a big fan of Marriott properties/service in general, (2) the location right off I-40, and (3) it was pet friendly. After a 600-mile road trip with the family (and beagle), I arrived around 6pm. Despite checking in hours earlier on the mobile app with my ETA, I was surprised to learn that a room was unavailable. Fortunately, after a relatively short wait the lady at the front desk was able to find a room that was being cleaned she could put us in. She waived the pet fee for the inconvenience, very professional. When we got to the room, it was really musty smelling and it stayed that way throughout our stay. I think it was due in part to the carpet and the fact that the thermostat wasn’t functioning properly (really warm all night). Since we were only there for 12 hours or so, it wasn’t worth seeking another room. Besides, the carpet throughout the property (including the elevator!) seemed to need a good cleaning, so another room may not have made a difference. While trying to sleep, we were awoken several times after 10pm to loud and inconsiderate guests. The walls are pretty thin and sound from people in the hall and nearby rooms really carries. I think we finally had quiet just before midnight. It would be good if the staff patrolled the floors (not a large property) in the evening during “quiet hours”. In the morning, before checking out and hitting the road again, my wife and I went down to the fitness center. With two good quality treadmills, an elliptical, a stationary bike and some weights, the gym appeared to be commensurate with other RI properties...until we went in. Prongs broken off power cords, severed and loose wires sprawled on the floor...only one machine (a treadmill) was functional. Bummer since we got up at 5am to get in a quick workout. There were also no towels whatsoever. The breakfast buffet was great, especially given the fact they had turkey sausage. A somewhat healthier option to offset road trip food. It was odd, however, that water was nowhere to be found in the breakfast area. Plenty of coffee and juices, just no water. Outside there is a nice area to walk pets and even a place for disposing bags, but that trash bin was overflowing with pet waste bags. Seemed like it had been a few days since it was last emptied, or there was a recent dog party. It is worth adding that a young man was outside cleaning the yard, picking up after sloppy guests on a brutally cold morning...and doing so while being friendly and courteous to guests who passed by. When we checked out, the folks at the front desk thanked us for our stay and were also friendly and professional. All in all, I would rate the people I encountered highly but the apparent lack of maintenance and upkeep relative to other Residence Inn (and Marriott) properties is why the overall rating is low.

I don't like this hotel I will never stay ever again the manager Virginia she's rude nasty attitude she's not professional the 2 nights we stayed she walked and stomp through the halls cursing talking bad about her housekeeper's the lady ask if me and my husband had any beers because she needed a drink she said because they was driving her crazy that lady most definitely don't need her position my husband left the housekeeper a tip and she went in and took the tip as she was seeing us leave I left my bag so I went back in to get it and the tip was gone. Not a good manager but the housekeeper's was nice and sweet they serviced us very good the lady at the front desk at night was really rude too i won't be back there

The chairs in the breakfast area are so worn out you can't tell what color the seats even used to be. The chair lift in the pool area looks so corroded at the base it doesn't look safe. The hot tub was grungy with a bath tub ring of scum around the top. The maids are very hit or miss depending on who shows up. Some do an adequate job but others wont do the dishes even when I asked specifically! One TV in our room operated more like a slide show than an actual TV; it would display an image of the show for 2-3 seconds, time out, then show another image for another couple seconds. The laundry room had 2 out of 3 washing machines with out of order signs on them; the maintenance team was in the room repairing things and replacing light bulbs. They took the sign off the machine after they ran it through a cycle.but when I tried to push the coins in it jammed. Turns out the coin box was never emptied and was overflowing and jamming the coins from dropping down. This hotel has a serious lack of effort. This Residence Inn serves their snacks/beverages at night starting after 7:30, others we have stayed at usually serve items earlier at 6:00pm so families with young kids can help themselves around dinner time instead of bed time. The staff is not rude and everyone was always pleasant with greetings. The slight good news is that this place is supposed to be getting renovated so in a year things might look better, but without an attitude renovation it will just be lipstick on a pig.

Thoroughly enjoyed four nights here. Loved being able to travel with our two dogs and having a kitchenette. The staff here is the friendliest and most helpful of anywhere we have found in Jackson. The lady working at breakfast was a welcome delight every morning, and the lady at the front desk always greeted our puppies. The hotel is getting a bit of facelift, which is nice but was not yet in dire need of pursuing. We love staying here.

I have stayed at this Residence Inn on several occasions but was not happy at all with my stay this time. Upon arrival, I was told that the hotel was sold out. I had reservations, so how is it that there’s no room available for me!! This was very frustrating and disturbing to hear. So after about 45 minutes of several excuses and reasons, the Manager came in and I was given a room. Room cleaners was a problem too.

Relatively new Residence Inn. I expected more. The room was smaller than other RI. Ice machine was turned off in the frig and there were no ice machines to be had on the floors. Odd. The bed was a disappointment. Lumpy. The biggest complaint was that for a long term stay hotel, it was built with no insulation or double insulated windows. Now in some locations that might cut it, but my room fronted Interstate 40! I was actually praying for an accident to stop the traffic for awhile. Breakfast was the high spot. Well done. Marriott foodservice is terrific. Front desk was stellar.

We stayed here as our halfway point from PA to TX. The staff at the front desk were very friendly. We had a minor issue when we got to our room but it was quickly resolved with the help of Cornelius Wilson.

My family and I stayed one night as we were making our way from Texas to New Hampshire. We stayed in a two room suite as we have 3 children and need the extra space. The room was clean, modern and very roomy. The free breakfast in the morning was lovely and unlike a few of the other Residence Inns we had stayed in on our trip offered bacon. That definitely made for some very happy tummies. The staff was very friendly and my kids enjoyed chatting with them whenever they could. Reading a few of the other reviews, I had to call out we did not notice any noise from the highway at all, I suppose we could have just been that tired from the drive but it certainly didn't keep us awake.
