Everything - we love this place it’s amazing- every time we come to snowboarding or summer time out door retreat - this is our place we book & stay. Our stay was for only one night as we were passing through the area and it was during an off-season. We pulled in and was impressed with the outside lawn area. Beautiful landscaping with chairs and swings for relaxing. Check-in was easy, staff was pleasant and explained all the rules and made sure to tell us about breakfast for the next morning. Lots of convenient parking. The room we had was spacious and had a balcony with chairs for enjoying the river right behind the building. However, the room definitely needs some work. The furniture is old and outdated. The mattress was worn with thin pillows and an old comforter. The bathroom has had some updating, but is on the small side. The towels were very thin and the bathtub had strands of hair around the top edge. The greenery on the fire place was covered in dust as was the walls. The chairs on the balcony was covered in dirt and cobwebs. Overall, the room looked and smelled as if it hadn’t been used in a long time. The morning we left, we went to the event center for breakfast that was supposed to start at 8 am (this needs to be much earlier so people can start their day!) but the doors were locked! Went to the front desk to inquire and was told they “must be running late.” We were hoping that this would be a place that we could return to when we return to the area for our week-long trips in June & October, but we will look elsewhere.

We have stayed there before and we love it and this visit was as good and I want to thank them for the handicap room it was a lifesaver the only thing is they need to get a better chair because that one is wore out you sink in the middle of it other than that everything was great and I love to hear the creek running

Ok for the cost
We lost Wi-Fi and tv our third night and were able to bet back tv but Wi-Fi was never restored. The small refrigerator in the room froze everything even on the lowest setting and one morning we woke up to water all over the floor from the refrigerator defrosting. Luckily nothing we had was in the area to get wet, with the exception of a waterproof bag. Housekeeping was ok, we had one day when one of the beds wasn’t made up, and another day when only half of the towels were collected. The one saving grace was the staff. Everyone we spoke to was extremely friendly and really tried to help.

SUPER clean. Nice friendly staff. We will be staying any time we come to the area if they have vacancy. Breakfast was good. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of linens and pillows and supplies in bathroom. They charge what it's worth but you can't get a bad room cheap enough.

Definitely rebooking in the future
We thought the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Checkin and checkout were both quick and easy. The only problem we had was we couldn’t figure out how to get the bathtub plug to fit properly so the water would fill the tub. We improvised by using a washcloth over the plug to slow the draining. Otherwise, we had a perfect stay!

The property is nice. The room was clean and has a balcony overlooking a stream. It is walking distance to downtown Gatlinburg. The room was adjoining to the next room and we could hear talking and snoring through the door. The wifi was nonexistent. The breakfast is typical motel fair. Would I stay there again. Probably not.
