too noisy - there was an alarm that got activated right at midnight and then at 3 AM making us stay up for rest of the night. This was the most uncomfortable stay I have had - informed management and they didn't care about solving the problem.
No frills hotel, clean rooms, comfortable beds, welcoming staff, decent enough breakfast with a variety of food. The Houston traffic with the construction on 290 is just a mess, like in the whole city. But it doesn’t affect access to the hotel.
I'm leaving a rave review for a hotel I've never visited... and here's why. We had a family situation come up with less than a day's notice, and needed to reserve a room in Houston, immediately. All our usual hotels were booked solid, but this hotel actually asked for our name and said they'd call us if an unsecured reservation no-showed. I gave them my name and number, and then we left home to grab a late dinner. I really didn't think they'd call. We were discussing other options when, lo and behold, midway through our dinner the hotel called and had a room for us. Booking was smooth and welcoming. That would've gotten praise, in and of itself. But then when my husband looked up the location for directions, he realized I'd booked a room in the wrong area of town! Hubby called the hotel back (hour and a half after the late booking) and the hotel was willing to cancel with a proverbial smile. I don't know when we'll be in that area of Houston, but with this level of customer service, I will certainly look at this hotel first for future accommodations.
Cordial and professional staff, fresh breakfast, clean accommodation, complimentary wifi. For those without computers there is one at the front office. Location is right next to 290 and 1960 which is crucial
While in Houston on a Business trip I had the pleasure of Staying at the Hampton Inn. I was greeted by Joseline and treated like a rock star during my stay. I was also able to meet the property manager Luis Figueroa who made sure I had everything I needed. Staying at many hotels in my line of work I could tell he worked well with his team and in turn him and he team were able to take care of us. Thank you so much for your customer service it was beyond A++
We were evacuated due to Harvey, and the staff went above and beyond for us. I can not even express how grateful I am to the staff here. We were out of our home for over 9 days and had no idea what we would being going home to or if we would even have a home to go to. Jessica and Shania were the sweetest gifts I was given during one of the most stressful times in our life. I woke up every morning to sweet good mornings and yummy breakfast. I went to bed every night in a clean room and was told goodnight by someone you could tell really cared. This hotel was amazing from the grounds to the management they all made us feel wonderful. I joked as I left that even though I was just a few miles from my home I would have to go back and stay with them again. I am a mom with children and I am very picky about where I stay. I never let my husband pick hotels because his standard is not mine ha ha....I would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you Hampton for giving me such an amazing place and staff during our time there.
The staff went out of there way to make sure our stay was as stress free with everyone dealing with hurricane Harvey. We were blessed to find a place that welcomed all of our pets. We can't thank them enough.
Staff was wonderful! Shaina, Delsin and Jessica are amazing! So friendly and helpful! Housekeeping always kept my room 100% clean! The maintenance man was even nice! I only shared an elevator ride with him but that showed me the quality of the person they find just to hire people! The breakfast attendant Yulleny and Paula were amazing and made me feel like I was eating a home cooked meal! Best stay ever! I will definitely be returning!
I found the staff to be very helpful and courteous. The rooms were spacious and very clean. There was a large screen HD TV and the internet connection never failed. We stayed two nights and each morning we left about 4AM and the staff gave us a bagged breakfast because we would miss the regular breakfast hours. I stay at this hotel at least twice a year and stay at many hotels almost every weekend. This is my favorite.
Key card machine not working. Clerk had to work front desk and go unlock rooms with master card!! Many times! Thin walls, dirty tub, hair on sheets!!! Wet floors in elevator never attended to. Breakfast room to small for the number of people, impossible to have any breakfast.....
