Easy access to Metro terminus, trams in Main Street and 10 minute walk to central shopping precinct

I reserved A king room and they wouldn’t give us one. My husband and I had to sleep in 2 separate full size beds. There was blood on the toilet seat. The room was so small and you could hear the next rooms tv all night.

My only complaint was the $27 plus tax per night fee for the garage was not made known before I arrived.. Felt like a surprise or hidden fee.

Everything at the hotel was fine. The area surrounding the hotel seemed to have too many homeless sleeping within a short distance making it uncomfortable when navigating the area on foot.

Outdated. The parking is terrible and expensive. Wasn’t worth the money I paid

It was clean and nice. BUT: The staff acted like the were court order to work there. I booked two nights, went to work the day after my first night and when I returned everything I’d left in the room was thrown away. Luckily they still had the trash bag. When I called the front desk the had no idea I had booked two nights until they looked it up. “Oh so you’re staying two night?” Well yeah that’s what I booked. I ordered from the restaurant for a pick order, when I went down to get it I told the bar tender I was there to get my order. She said ok and never went to get it or tell anyone else. I had to go to the front desk and they got the waiter to come over. He said they ran out of chicken and it wasn’t ready and for me to go back up to my room and they’d call me. No “sorry about the inconvenience” nothing. Totally not what I’m use to with a holiday inn. I won’t be going back.

We have a great time. The hotel is centrally located in the walking distance to the metro.

There is too much to type to describe how horrible this stay was for myself and my family. Long story short, we chose to drive home (2 1/2 hours away at midnight) instead of staying the second night we paid for. Staff was horrible, rude, and condescending. Upper management did amazing at compensating us for our trip but it will not be enough. We will never stay here again.

Had no hot water night we checked in. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Stayed for One night for a concert we attended at the Toyota Center. 10 minute walk from the Hotel to the Toyota Center. Plenty of parking around the hotel. Various restaurants walking distance. Burger Theory, the Bar downstairs has pretty good burgers as the name implies. Overall a pleasant stay.

i like to go to houston to watch baseball, i changed hotels this last trip because where i stay was booked. I really liked the holiday inn downtown, i had a problem with my room and they moved me to a bigger suite, i thought the staff was very friendly and helpful, would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to houston. i give them 5-stars on a scale to 4!!!!! thanks again for making my stay so enjoyable. richie zuber

Great location if you wanting something decent for the price and view of DT Houston skyline. I would stay here again.. plus they offer free transportation to locations in the DT area

Loved it stayed there for 2 nights and I was surprised to see how clean and nice eas everything, the libby, the toom, the bathroom and Every part of the building.

Room was always clean and front desk staff extremely friendly and helpful. Restaurant attached to the hotel is AMAZING.

The lobby music was too loud. Couldn't hear a conversation nor able to hear talking on a cell phone. I mentioned to staff, nothing done. I checked in at around 230PM asked to have some packed clothes dry cleaned by 8AM. Was told they would call my room in a few minutes. Half hour later had to leave on an appointment. Got back at about 10PM. The manager who said he would help, came up to me in shorts, sneakers, and t shirt ( didn't realize it was him at first) to tell me he tried to call me to let me now they wanted $50 surcharge for the rush service. So, shouldn't I have been able to make that choice to pay it? He made the choice for me. I also had to ask twice for a taxi as the desk must have forgot the first time because I went up to the desk after 20 minutes to ask when the taxi was getting there and they jumped on the phone to get the taxi at that point and it was there in 3 minutes. Now, the room: A/C fan way too loud. There is absolutely NO counter space in the bathroom. A sink and a 2 by 4 . Couldn't hold anything on it. I sounds like a whiner. I am not. This place was not good. And, to boot , they just opened in December.

We are so sorry you were not aware of the fee. We do our best to make sure the information is highlighted in all areas including the parking area and websites. We will review the confirmation letters to make sure this is clear.

We understand our guest concerns and offer shuttle service from 7am to 10pm to local attractions. We also staff security. Unfortunately the homeless population is something we have to work around being in a large city.
