Hotel was flooded during Harvey. Elevator does not go to every floor, hallways are Not air conditioned and there is abundant construction noise to wake you at 6am and hot water does not get hot in every room! Booked 4 rooms for a wedding and something was wrong with Every room. Bathrooms are VERY small (2 people cannot fit) and air and hot water is an issue

We hear so much about this hotel so we were excited to stay. Our excitement was short lived. The lobby is beautiful so I was anxious to get to the room. Upon walking in the mold smell was strong. The refrigerator was barely cool and the bed was very uncomfortable. Look out the window to the view of a ditch and trash. I was looking forward to a bath later that night, but got tired of waiting for the bath tub to fill with water as I guess the small water spout is part of their water conservation. In the morning we had to go downstairs to get coffee. After waiting a while for someone to find cups we decided to go get our own and left the hotel early. Will not be back.

very inconvenient location, no coffee in the room , no elevators but they said because of a construction and is ok, room was humid .

The air conditioning is set very high, we jept asking to lower it. Four of ys got sick, no one listened. We could only use the room and the outside. Lobby and restaurants were simply too cold.

The setting of this hotel is wonderful....near many things but isolated with large grounds around it. Transportation is provided to anywhere within a 3 mile radius. The entire staff is very friendly and pleasant always with a smile and wanting to serve you.

wonderful in every way...cannot say enough good things...

I regularly stay at this hotel especially given the location and sport facilities provided. This time however, the room cleanliness was an issue and many in room facilities had some problem or where not maintained (

Property on the older side but fairly well-maintained. Staff was very nice and helpful. Would stay there again next time I'm in Houston.

The Houstonian was a wonderful retreat. It is conveniently located to downtown, but seems like it is located somewhere miles from the nearest civilization. It has a great pool complex a highcaliber restaurant and access to a world class spa/fitness center. We were there during a vacation, but it would make a great weekend retreat for locals. I highly recommend spending some time at the Houstonian.

Friendly and attentive staff. Had. Great time at Houstonian.

The Houstonian Hotel is definitely a Houston icon however, it is noticeably outdated and in need of renovation. Indoor is rustic and beautiful, but the rooms are outdated all the way to the appliances and the bathrooms small. Overall the staff was friendly and helpful and the room service pretty good..

This hotel has a wonderful ambiance. We appreciated the beauty of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and most helpful. Great Jazz in the bar on Thursday nights.

Very nice. Internet was almost non existing. Mother's Day weekend. Lot's of kid's

We have a 1 and 2 year old and the pools are great for toddlers

Hotel staff were friendly. They charge for parking and most extras though. Very nice fitness center and pool. If you are looking for a nice getaway and to relax then enjoy their pool and fitness center.

This hotel seems completely out of place in that the surrounding area is commercial and then you drive back into time. It is elegant and classy. It was total unexpected but worth it.

Zero entry with salt water pool was great for our baby and toddler

My husband and I wanted to get away for one evening and not have to leave the hotel. We checked in about 4 and enjoyed the food that came with the upgraded room and didn't even have to go anywhere for dinner. It was great!

Took the family for a Staycation on the concierge level.. Had a blast enjoying the pools all day along with breakfast and snacks all day. Very comfortable!

The hotel is fine but it needs a major renovation of the rooms.
