Was told a rate prior to getting there, once arrived the rate jumped to nearly double. Noticed some small maintenance issues going to our room. The hotel is near all the shopping centers. Got into my room and it smelled like pickles right off, made my eye twitch a little. I did like the room, it had these large cabinets to place all my items. The faculty was very helpful and understanding.

We had to stay here for 15 days because our home was destroyed by Hurricane Harvey. The hotel has very limited staff. Some were very nice and others acted like they could care less if you were there or not. Our room was never very clean and when we complained it was not well recieved. Originally we booked for 8 days then had to add another week and they were not very helpful at the desk. They told us to go online and rebook and the price had gone way up so we had no choice. Being an SPG member we thought they would help us more and try to get us the same rate seeing we had been displaced from our home. There were several people who were very kind and others who were very rude. The cook was extremely nice. It would have been nice if there would have been a little more support for Hurricane Harvey victims like I heard of in other places but there was none at Aloft. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel failed to meet my expectations by a long shot. No room service! The only Ice Machine is on the 5th floor in the parking deck elevator entrance (basically outside). Items in the room were dirty or broken (Glasses, Ice bucket, and iron). The pool is essentially an oversized bathtub (super small). Also, I left my laptop charger in my room and called them 4 hours after I checked out and the Hotel Frontdesk acted as if HouseKeeping was in a different country and she couldn't transfer me to them or contact them on my behalf. They had me create an account on a website only to not hear back from them after calling twice. Long story short, 3 days later, I got a call from the HouseKeeping Manager saying that he "couldn't find it" with no further explanation. I defintely expected better from Aloft.

Very nice place to stay Parking a little complicated Nice bar

Quality hotel. Room in great condition. Lobby in great condition. Exercise facilities are good. Overall great value and location.

Very comfortable stay we were sorry it haf to be short in a future trip to Houston we expect to enjoy a longer stay!!!

They charge $16 a night to park our car in the parking. They should offer it for free.

Very comfortable and quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

First, I was given a room that was already occupied luckily the current occupant was not there this could have been a dangerous situation. Secondly, the TV in the room did not work had to call service desk no one came after my call had to go downstairs to get some attention. This was a terrible experience I will never try a no name hotel again!

Old hotel! Air conditioner made noise all night, shower door would not close and water all over, the food in the lounge was bad, the salad was brown, help sucked! No one was worth the time to ask any ?2. You felt like they where there just for a paycheck. HORRIBLE!

No complaints. Clean, private and the reception area was staffed late at night.

Room was different from most traditional rooms, but nice

Overall hotel was nice, I had issues locating the front attendant at times. Great price and location!

Arrived and given a room that where the heavy mirror on the bathroom door was cracked completely in half and the mirror was deeply chipped and shattered along floor line. Bathroom door did not close completely due to poorly installed tile at base of doorway. Inside of of bathroom door had many black, smudged hand prints. Ceiling in dressing area near door was gouged in several places. Carpet in room and hallway immediately outside door had not been vacuumed. John, at the front desk, offered to give us another room and promptly brought new keys. The bathroom door in the second room also did not close (same faulty tile installation) so three people spent four days in tight quarters in a room with virtually no personal privacy. Unacceptable. The bathroom door design, with the handle mounted in a heavy mirror, is structurally disfunctional and both bathroom door handles had been relocated in the same glass, resulting in unsightly holes from the first handle location. There is no containment feature between the shower and the toilet and dressing room, resulting in shower water collecting across the floor of the toilet and dressing areas. Shoddy and cheap construction throughout. AC never cooled room below 74 degrees, which is a problem in hot, humid Houston. Having stayed in other well-designed ALofts in other cities - especially San Francisco - and booking this hotel for that reason, the Houston ALoft was a total disappointment. Hotel room doors too heavy.

Price deceptive when you realize you have to pay 16. Per day for parking.

Great home at a good price. I was able to take my dogs with me without any inconvenience. Staff were very welcoming to them. Loved the location...tons of restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel for business travel accommodations in Houston Texas

Staff were super welcoming when checking in and very personable. Service was fast, quick, and easy!

Bottom line: we won't be staying here again. We aren't picky people, but we do expect a decent night's sleep in a cool, relatively quiet room. The good: Check in/out was easy. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The security guard and janitor were both exceptionally helpful and friendly. The bad: The night club next door is very loud (windows were rattling!.....no joke). The staff is lacking overall training. Basic check in/out is manageable, but ask for the dog bag they offer, ear plugs, or for someone to fix the broken air conditioning and you will get the deer in the headlights look. Elevators had broken panels with wires hanging out. Pool was undergoing rennovation. The night club is loud. Our air conditioner only worked for a couple minutes at a time and only if you opened the door first. Otherwise, it would not run for hours. No help was offered that fixed the problem. There's a lot of passing the buck going on at this hotel. The night club noise is impressive and frustrating at the same time. We asked to be moved and we're told they were full. We were also told we could have a different room the next day. When we asked the next day, they were fully booked again and had not made arrangements for us. We asked for ear plugs and it took the entire day of us revisiting the desk and 4 employees before one finally found them. Noisy, unknowledgeable staff (probably lack of training), hot, and disappointing. Did I mention noisy?

Nice hotel in quiet and georgeus are . All of you need in a intelligent comfy space.

Hi Danielle, Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear we were unable to retrieve your laptop charger. We have a system in place for lost and found items that have worked very efficiently from its inception but seems as if it failed with your item. You are correct in your description about our ice machine being on the 5th floor as we don’t offer ice machines on any of our floors in order to noise for our guests. We do provide an ice machine in the lobby 24 hours a day in our Refuel Grab-and-Go for all of our guests' convenience. We have shared your comments regarding the iron and ice bucket with our Housekeeping Manager and will ensure that this is not a repeat situation. Thank you again for your feedback and we would love to invite you back the next time you are in Houston.
