Hampton Inn Ft. Lauderdale/Downtown Las Olas Area

2.5 out of 5.0

Convenient to local restaurants and shopping as well as the Broward Performing Arts Center. The free shuttle to and from our conference and eateries was excellent.

Convenient to where I needed to go in downtown, but seriously overpriced for the quality and amenities. Pretty turned off by the handicapped restroom in my room -- water all over the entire bathroom floor, dirty tile and grout that was never properly cleaned off the tile during installation.

I stayed in the hotel for a law office business trip. It was close to the courthouse and convenient. The rooms were clean, but the decor was outdated and the phones did not work. In addition, while some staff members were helpful and friendly, one person at the front desk was quite rude and combative when I asked to extend my stay. This was right in the middle of a trial and I had to rush back to the hotel on the break and was told that I would just need to check out. When I returned, another person said there actually were rooms available. Not good.

My girl friends and I booked this hotel for a night out on Las Olas. The hotel was comfortable and it was only a cheap taxi ride away from the places we wanted to go to. Breakfast was decent for a free meal. I'd stay here again!

It was great stay. Staff was all eager to help me. Would come back again. If i need to at some point and time

WENT TO MIAMI DOLPHIN GAME , AND AS I SAID IT WAS NOT OUR FIRST TIME STAYING WITH YOU

room very clean area of city not too good, lots of noise in hallway all night

The front desk staff, Kate and supervisor were extremely helpful.

Suppose to have a two bed, room and staff relayed they didn't have one available. They acted though it wasn't there fault. I showed them my reservation from months prior with two beds and they said that it was only a preference. They also tried having me check out and go to a new hotel. I told them i couldn't because the expo was based out of the conference. They only cared once they realized I was with the fire conference. Many I spoke too said there reservations were completely lost. Disappointing to have all these problems right at the beginning of the trip. Hoping the expo doesn't use them in the future.

We saw a show at Revolution live. The hotel was close and served our needs.

Clean room, convenient located downtown, adequate complimentary breakfast. Enjoyed the stay very much. Would stay again and recommend it.

Decent room, close to my office. Thats about it. Be ADVISED, when you check in they charge you 12.00 for parking. So add 12.00 to your total

It's a solid hotel at a great price (in a very expensive city). It is located in a very good, central location off a main road. (even though the side street that the hotel sits on is a little seedy), While nothing is really walkable from the hotel, everything of interest in Ft. Lauderdale is a very close minute or two drive away. The hotel is mostly quite clean, and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast's are standard Hampton fare. Overall a solid recommendation. I would go back.

We had a wonderful weekend. Nice, clean rooms and friendly staff. Good breakfast each morning. Had a car, easy to get to port for cruise and to the airport. Would stay here again eventho the neighborhood is scketchy at night. You can't get into the hotel or grounds without a pass keycard.

Free wifi, parking and breakfast! Close to Los Olas Blvd. and restaurants. Friendly staff!

My husband and I needed a winter blue's get away so we booked a five day four night trip to Fort Lauderdale and we stayed at the Hampton Inn on Andrews Avenue. We would definately return there. The location was fabulous, we could walk to Las olas Blvd. with all the great shops and restaurants. There was NO charge for parking which was an added bonus. The delicious, free breakfasts were a great way to start our day. Would recomend to friends that wanted a great central location. Also, the rooms were clean but I would have liked larger bars of soap for the bath.

Overall our stay at this hotel was very good. The only downside is the area that it is in. I would warn anyone who stays at this hotel to not leave and wander around the hotel at night. There are a lot of shady people who mingle around the City Hall building a block down the road. This made finding things to eat around the hotel difficult and we mostly ate take out. Also, while they don't offer any kind of airport shuttle, they will set you up with a company that does shuttle and it costs only $20. This is a lot cheaper than you would pay using a taxi especially during rush hour.

We stayed at this hotel as a leisure getaway for one night and it was the perfect place for the price. Clean, comfy and no fuss!

good Wi Fi, nice late afternoon wine and snacks

Easy to walk to FLL attractions. Older hotel.
