First the good. Nice bed and linens, room was clean when we arrived. Nice ocean view from balcony. Now the not so good. Room was not made up by 7pm the second day of our stay. Front desk said housekeeping did not need to be done until 8pm. We waited outside our room until 830pm to get clean towels and the room serviced. Unacceptable for a Hilton resort. Paper cups for coffee and plastic drinking cups in the room. For the prices charged, to include "resort fees" it would have been nice to have a real coffee cup or two, and a glass for water. I expect paper and plastic from Holiday Inn, not Hilton. The following item, while not directly the fault of management, was the noise from all the motorcycles that were parked on the beach during our stay. While sitting on our balcony trying to enjoy the view we were subjected to the noise of V-twin engines and max-volume sound systems. If that is your peer group, I guess it is great. However, its not mine, and certainly not what I hoped for while celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. I suppose that Hilton chose to allow these motorcycles on the beach in front of balcony rooms because it was a large group that paid a lot of money to be there. That certainly did not improve our experience. Finally, Expedia quoted a $120 fee due upon arrival, however Hilton charged me $135. Since I used “contactless check-out” I did not see the fee until 2 days later, when it was charged to my card.
