Absolutely beautiful , clean, authentic and very key west style property in great location near the beach , the southernmost point monument, main old city activity . Everything is walking distance. Rooms are very clean and cute. The only downside is parking, witch is not available onsite, but just across the street is paid parking. 24hr rate was $25( not bad at all). We used paid parking and it worked well for us( hotels charged in Miami $40 per night for parking., so $25 per 24 hrs was not bad at all).

The staff was awesome, very helpful with information. The property is beautiful and the room (King Cottage) was amazing. I will stay there again if we ever return to Key West.

Friendly, clean, welcoming, with lovely rooms. The fresh cookies every day were fantastic!

I enjoyed the Avalon B&B. It was quaint and friendly. It was good for a girls visit. It seemed as if most guests were couples or families with teens ( preteens). Breakfast was sufficient - fruit, cereal, cheese & lunchmeat, bagels, bread and OJ every morning. 3 hot entrees and pastry rotated. Pool was tiny and our suits had an odor after hanging to dry in our bathroom. They had coffee pods, fruit available 24/7 and cookies available in the afternoon until gone. Beer and wine were available to purchase but no sodas, juice or water bottles that I found. Because of Covid rooms were refreshed on request. New towels were available by request also. I’d stay here again. It was located at Duval and United. 1/2 block from the shuttle and about 3 blocks below the bars. 1 block up from South Beach.

Very clean and comfortable at the quiet end of Duvall St.

This was right on Duval street but a quieter area. The property was adjacent to a Duval Loop stop which is free. The staff was friendly and professional and knowledgeable of the area. The continental breakfast had a wide array of foods and was constantly replenished by the staff. Housekeeping staff was amazing with not a speck of dust or dirt anywhere. It was raining the second day and hotel even had ponchos available for guests. I would definitely stay here again on a trip to key west and would and will reccommend this B&B!

Location and the private feel, I would differently recommend to others.

Great location, very friendly staff.Nice breakfast on front porch.

Loved this place. Charming, quiet, excellent staff. Just over a mile from the “busy” end of the island, which meant more walking than I’d planned, but I’d go back again and plan to rent a bike from the shop next door!

Property and room is exceptional. Due to a last minute cancellation we were given a free upgrade to a very nice quiet cottage at the back of the property. Cannot say enough good things about Keith and Yvonne

Nice location at quiet end of Duval close to southernmost point. Long walks back and forth to main part of Duval.

I can’t say enough nice things......if you find a good price you won’t be disappointed

Wonderful hotel with excellent amenities, including an amazing breakfast buffet. We were so pleased with our stay at the Avalon.

I booked a king-side bedroom but was given a queen-size bedroom without apology. They promised to refund me but with an amount far less than the actual difference. Even though it has not been refunded, although I have requested three times: two while I was in the hotel and the third one through Orbitz. Orbitz was not helpful in resolving the problem. Very bad experience.

Just as the pictures show! Perfect location, wonderful staff and nice outdoor space! We were made to feel welcome immediately even when arriving well before check-in time. The setting, pool area and house itself are an ideal place to spend time in Key West. You are away from the busiest part of town but close enough to enjoy it all. The breakfast was ample with lots of selection on a beautiful front porch. Would definitely recommend Avalon.

Three of us shared a lovely spacious room on the first floor. We enjoyed relaxing in the pool area and having an excellent breakfast on the porch. We paid for parking in the lot directly across the street and left our car there the enitire time. The free shuttle bus stop is less than a block from the B&B as we used it to get to the ferry terminal for our day trip to Dry Tortugas National Park.

We enjoyed our stay at this b&b. The included breakfast was great; even had gluten free offerings! We stayed in a standard queen and it was the perfect size. The small pool out back was practically private and refreshing. Our only complaint would be that our toilet handle was a bit broken and had to be jiggled to stop running. Otherwise everything was clean, well maintained and the staff was excellent.

I would happily book another trip to this B&B. Beautifully appointed, wonderful staff, and a great breakfast. I highly recommend the Avalon.

The place overall is very clean, the staff friendly, but the room was very small, not what I expected.

We appreciate the review! Parking is always an issue in Key West, and like most other properties on Duval we do not have the space for an on site parking lot. I`m glad you took advantage of the new parking lot across from us! Thank you for staying with us, and we look forward to seeing you in the near future!

I am happy to see that you enjoyed your stay. Our property is popular because of the location, not in the hustle and bustle of Duval Street, yet within walking distance of most places. We hope to see you in the near future. Thank you for the review!
