The room was in good condition, but smelled like a wet dog in its front area. (As it is a pet friendly hotel, I am certain a dog stayed in my room previously, and they did not mop out the smell.) Some of the staff were courteous, and some were not (in particular, the breakfast seating person was unfriendly). The front desk staff and pool bar person were friendly and welcoming. The pools were nice, warm, and clean. The gym was clean and smelled fresh. The grounds have hens and roosters around, and the roosters start crowing around 3:30 AM EST and don’t stop until sunset (walk with your earplugs, thank goodness I remembered to bring mine). The breakfast and coffee were subpar, and they charge you $18 per day for it, plus tax, plus they want you to provide a tip. Parking is $15 per day. There are not enough stores or restaurants next to this hotel. You have to drive or ride a bike, but you can also walk to some places. I paid for a room with a balcony with an ocean view, and got a room with a balcony with a slither of a view. I highly doubt that I will ever stay at this hotel again.
