Booked a one-week trip through Expedia for what I thought would be the full price of the stay at the Lighthouse Hotel, like I have for many trips through Expedia. Low and behold, I had a charge to my credit card after I checked out for several hundred dollars.. I called the hotel and was told that this was for the daily maid service, which they only came every other day while I was there. The hotel stated Expedia must have included this in the fine print when I booked it. Either way, it's an underhanded practice on both Expedia and the Lighthouse Hotel...I won't be using either in the future.

The room (Number 24) was spacious! The breakfast was wonderful and the location is ideal. You can see the lighthouse from the rooms upstairs. It is also right across the street from Hemingway House. Love all the roosters walking around. Just beware that they do crow starting at 3 am.

We enjoyed our stay at this historic hotel which has a great location for walking anywhere in the older part of town. Staff were friendly and helpful, the included continental breakfast poolside was excellent and we enjoyed the on-site bar and live music on a couple occasions. Comfortable beds, but chairs in rooms could have been more conducive to relaxing.

The location was awesome and the staff was kind and attentive but the room was not great. First, the shower was tiny and took a long time to produce hot water. Sometimes, the water never got hot and was luke warm or even luke cold. The shower floor was spongy and the shower head was basic. The hotel provided shampoo and conditioner but we noticed that the shampoo, body wash, and hand soap were all the same product. The bed was comfortable but the room had plantation shutters that let in a lot of light at night. We could not make the room fully dark. The roosters started crowing around 3:30am and sounded like they were right outside the room, making it difficult to sleep. If I visit Key West again, I’d choose to stay someplace else because I need to sleep and shower comfortably.

This place is magical! The staff are excellent and the room was perfect (& convenient!) The continental breakfast was light, but well done and the happy hour drinks were excellent. We loved the central location which put us within walking distance of most everything.

The rooms ideally could have been a bit cleaner. For instance vacuum underneath the furnishings. Great breakfast and the loft room Was fantastic. Close to everything yet not in the congestion.

Super friendly staff, very nice room with all the amenities, terrific convenient location, great pool for relaxing and cooling off in. There's also a cute little cafe there for drinks and small food menu. Beautiful trees provide shade, and plenty of chickens to admire, and sometimes get annoyed by.

The room and pool area were clean and pleasant. Good hospitality from staff including bartenders Alejandro and Jefferson. Unfortunately, the room remained humid due to the bathroom connection to the rest of the unit (above door) and wall A/C unit. Biggest drawback is the roosters on property and next door which do their best to wake you up at 4:00 AM. I suggest ear plugs and/or other sleep aids.

Love this historic property!! Very friendly staff who were very helpful with activities, beautiful property, nice room accommodations. Breakfast was good and enough to fridge up over for a late lunch/early dinner each day. Bar is open daily for breakfast until 6p. We will definitely be returning!

Property was beautiful. Beds so comfy! Loved watching the cats at The Hemingway House across the street. Close cafe, restaurant and bars within 3 minute walk. Lush gardens surrounds the property and pool/dinning area. We stayed in the Snowhite Suite, 1st floor. Had a private patio, separate living room and huge bathroom. Great space for 2-3 people. We look forward to coming back.
