This is a beautiful, historic building, very convenient to the Cleveland Clinic. The room we has was very spacious, but the bathrooms, at least the one in our room, has literally no place to put any toiletries around the sink to get ready in the morning. There is one tiny shelf over the toilet, and that is it. The elevated bowl sink takes up most of the small counter space that would be available otherwise. If you are someone who needs more than a toothbrush and hairbrush in the morning to get ready, this bathroom is a challenge. But overall, we like this location and should the need arise to visit Cleveland or the clinic again, this is definitely our first choice for accommodations.

Molded in shower booth. Needs some improvement there

The room could have been a little cleaner, along with cleaner windows

Great bed, room bigger than most. Too bad the oldness of the place overshadows its potential. Shower bar was coming off the wall (rm 611) - that's a potential major hazard. Beware- parking is a whoppin $21/day! Didn't anticipate that. Never got the check out email or the "warn cookie". Will make a different choice next time

I like that the hotel is historically preserved. The staff wass friendly.. the facilities clean.. and complete.

We rented two rooms. One room the TV did not work, the other the phone did not work. Both rooms had long hair wrapped in dust bunnies. Both rooms, shower water valve broken and dangling from plumbing. One room the bathroom sliding pocket door was broken and off track. You cold not move the door more than 3inches

I love the shuttle. They take you anywhere within a two mile radius from the hotel.

The hair dryer in the bathroom needs cleaned. It is coated in a film and is sticky.

Really feel old in a negative way. Rooms and hallways need to be updated with decoration that makes guests feel warm. The AC unit is directed streaight the head of the bed that it is hard to leave the hotel without catching a cold

Nice Boutique feel. Great location. Our ONLY issue was a bad one- we stayed in an accessible room, and when we turned the shower on, the steam caused a urine odor to fill the bathroom. The shower liner was dirty. Housekeeping replaced it immediately, but we were pretty grossed-out by then!

It was very charming on the outside, but a bit dated on the inside. Comfortable beds.

I loved the old feel of the place- it reminded me of the Tower of Terror The heater kept blowing cold air, even when I had it on heat. The bed was super comfy. When I checked out the valet forgot to bring my car. When he finally brought it- someone else’s luggage was in the trunk!

The room they gave us was LOUD !, It would have been bad if it was free! Shame on Hilton for giving the room out. Very sad !!

Nice old hotel. Very comfy bed great staff, all good. Will stay again.

The staff was fantastic. But as for the hotel....It was terrible. The toilet didn’t flush it was dirty, drunk people were knocking at the door from weddings, someone came for towels while we were sleeping for another room. The shower didn’t have a door so water went everywhere since the shower wasn’t big enough to support this type of mechanism. I mean. Bad. Don’t stay here.

I was extremely happy I chose this hotel...it is the perfect choice if you’re headed to Cleveland Clinic or just love beautiful buildings. All the staff were extremely nice. Everyone in every position was so helpful. After checking in & getting to the room we found out that the room didn’t have the bathtub I had requested when making the reservation so we moved to the handicap room that I needed anyway (Note: no rooms with a King bed have bathtubs). That room was huge! It’s right beside Cleveland Clinic & we took the shuttle to & from (it was cold & windy or we just would have walked & been there in minutes). We also took the shuttle for dinner the 2nd night. We went to The Canopy there @ the hotel the 1st night, maybe it was just an off night or something but the food was like overpriced cafeteria food. The breakfast buffet was really good...scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, sausage, potatoes, breakfast sandwiches, French toast, oatmeal, fresh fruit, etc... Definitely not ur typical hotel breakfast (it’s not a free breakfast btw). We took an evening tour & the manager showed us around the building & gave us some history on it. The tour is a MUST if you love beautiful buildings or just cool history! I won’t spoil it for you but I will tell you Al Capone’s private pool is in the basement! Also the basement is a hot spot for Orbs especially the original locker room.

Thanks for the review! We are refreshing our hotel rooms as well as bathrooms. Some room types do have a smaller bathroom with less counter space as opposed to other room types. We'd love to show you the new refresh!

Thanks for the feedback. We have alerted maintenance to the shower bar issue in the room. Parking can be a challenge however our hotel is on par with parking rates in Cleveland. You can contact us for other parking options, if you like. Check out email receipts may not be sent if the room was paid for on another site. Please check with your booking site or we'd be happy to forward something to you. Thanks again for the feedback.
