I highly, highly recommend this hotel. It's seriously a home away from home! I took my 3.5 year old son to stay for 5 nights. I mainly picked this hotel for the incredible pool and we got a room with a Jacuzzi tub. We went on a Sunday and upon arrival were told the pool was closed due to them cleaning it and such. My son was pretty upset. Come Wednesday I ran into one of the managers who made a phone call that allowed my son and I to go to another hotel she managed at to swim!! My son was so happy 😊 and I was extremely grateful! On Thursday the pool had finally opened! And it's perfect! A great section for kiddos, a section for adult swimming and a hot tub! Plus very nice restrooms in the pool area, and an exposed shower to shower off. The room was super comfy and the Jets in the tub worked perfect! Maid service was always on top of things, even folded the extra blankets we brought. My son overslept one day and we were about 20 minutes late to breakfast. Everything was pretty much put away. He wanted pancakes and the pancake machine was turned off. The breakfast lady over heard him and came out and started the pancake maker back up just for him! I thought that was such a great gesture. My son was so happy. And she was more than happy to get them for him. On check out day, check out is at 11am, however we still got to get in some swim time at the pool! At check out they even refunded us one nights stay because of the inconvenience of the pool being closed for 4 days!! I seriously recommend this hotel 😊 convenient to such amazing restaurants and activities! Minutes from Polaris mall and the environment and staff are genuinely beyond impressive! Definitely check this place out!
Very funkily decorated new hotel. Love the color scheme. HOWEVER, this was about the only good thing about this hotel. The water park area is pretty cool, but way too crowded. WAY too crowded. Full of people that acted like idiots. The walls are paper thin, lots of hallway noise. The beds are super comfy, the area is fabulous. The worst part of the stay was breakfast. The breakfast area was PACKED. The hotel was sold out, so the managerial staff knew that it was going to be busy. There was ONE LADY (Linda- she valiantly tried to keep up- I told her later she did a great job!) running the entire breakfast area. ONE. She could not keep the food replenished and the area clean. Shame on management for not being prepared, but kudos to Linda. I recommend you visit this hotel soon or not at all. Soon, while it's still in good shape. It's a beautiful property in a great location, but it won't stay that way with the overcrowding and terrible management.
We have been looking for a good Columbus hotel and this is the winner. We travel with a toddler and the splash pool was perfect after a long drive. It was warm, wish we brought floaties! Beds were great, so much so my mom bought a pillow. Only bummer was a really terrible breakfast, there is no sugar coating it. One thing- great for me, but the hotel was packed with families like mine. Don’t stay here if you don’t come with patience for that kind of crew!
Hotel is fine...all the requisite boxes checked for a Holiday Inn Express, but the pool area and splash pad were a major disappointment for our 9 & 6 year-old girls. Crowded, cold, and just frankly kinda dirty and depressing area....prolly more suitable toddlers and smaller kids...
Everything was good except the hallways was dirty our whole stay and the bigger kids made it impossible for the little kids to play in the kiddie area of the pool. They keep splashing water everywhere. That is nothing against the hotel, that’s more of parents not making their kids listen. Overall my son & I enjoyed our stay. We will be coming back!
We showed up for a very busy conference and there were several dozen people checking in at the same time. We all went to the bank of elevators and only one of three worked. Really? Ok, the first night maybe but only one elevator after four days, that is not acceptable. We would have to wait 20 and 30 minutes to get to our rooms after our daily conferences. The rooms run average to poor and need to be rehabed. I would not go back, there are too many nice place to stay at the same or better rates...
We travel frequently with three children on travel teams. Always like to book a stay with breakfast to fill up before tournaments/competitions. We have probably stayed at 25 plus hotels in the last couple of years and will say this had the WORSE breakfast ever. Bagels hard as a rock...literally everyone was throwing them away. Juice was pure water. The serving trays were small, after three people in line, the eggs are gone! Took forever to get food replenished. After 10 minutes of no plates I asked the one person who was working if I could have a plate and she gave me a dirty look and did not say anything to me. I went to the front desk to see if the poor lady could have help and to let them know all the trash cans were overflowing. They did not care! It was a two night stay and after another debacle of breakfast we left and ate somewhere else. We were on the fourth floor and there was a patio outside our building and we could here loud voices laughing etc until 11:00. We needed to be up by early so that was disappointing. The beds were comfortable and the pool is nice. Just do not plan to eat the breakfast!
Our child LOVED The splash pad and pool, our room was clean, and the breakfast was good. Not much more we could ask for! Also very centrally located to all nearby attractions (we came for COSI and the Zoo). Thanks Holiday Inn for a great experience!
This hotel is perfect if you have little kids traveling with you! There's a pool that's separated by height with a nice area for babies and toddlers. The frog style slide is adorable and it wore my 3 year old out! Check in was a breeze, no long wait and the front desk agent was friendly as well. The room is spacious and very clean and it was painted my favorite color purple! How cool is that? Overall I'm very satisfied and I will be returning!
This is a nice hotel. It is very clean and comfortable. The cinnamon rolls at the breakfast are great. I didn’t have any interaction with staff. I would stay here again. The decor is very contemporary.
