I really don’t like to do this but, this was not what I expected. I have never been to Columbus before and I’m just like everybody else trying to find a decent place to stay with my wife for a weekend getaway. The place is run down and very outdated. The refrigerator in our room doesn’t work. Lots of activities of cars coming in and out of the parking area all hours of the night. Definitely could not sleep because of the dealings of doors slamming and commotions outside. I got up looking out my window to check on my car every two hours to make sure it wasn’t broken into. It is what it is and I will never stay there again for sure. Quality Inn needs to change their name because the Quality simply was not there and I personally feel I stayed a weekend in hell and my wife and I didn’t deserve having to worry about our stay in a hotel that you all recommended.

Never came by and cleaned our room in the 4 nights we were there. We had to beg the front desk for towels and got dirty looks when asked. Absolutely no working WiFi either.

Room was serviceable but needs some tender loving care—eg inside of bathroom door looked like it had been used as a scratching post by a large dog, no toilet paper holder in bathroom, very limited towels but sufficient. Breakfast was disappointing, one is better off going out for breakfast. On positive side the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The overall experience was okay.

Below average hotel stay

This franchise, independently managed hotel is very run down and service very mediocre. Our family of 4 stayed for 1 night. Upon check-in, they requested $50 cash for incidentals to be returned at check-out. I don't carry cash and asked to put it on my credit card. They said the $50 would be refunded after 5 business days, which still hasn't after 6 days. We couldn't find our room in this 2-floor hotel. Room numbers were not marked outside showing which direction to go. We had a non-smoking room which smelled like smoke. Turning on the AC removed some of the unpleasant odor. The popcorn ceiling was coming off as if there were prior roof leaks. They had towels in the room for 2 people. When asked for more towels, they said to bring the used towels to exchange for another 2. The entire place and our hotel room are severely dated. Breakfast was below average and skimpy. Management provided the bare bones during breakfast hours at 8:00am despite other guests in the dining room. They took out a tray of 6 slices of bread, a couple bananas/oranges, 6 mini-muffins, and 6 yogurts in the fridge. I had better stay at other franchise owned Quality Inn's. I would not recommend this one.

The pictures on the website are deceiving. There was a bunch of people hanging around outside. This place literally remind me of a sleezy motel. This is not the place that you want to go to if you're trying to surprise your lady for a quick romantic getaway in the city or if you are traveling with your family. If want a nice hotel, this is not it. On top of that we got in the room. There was no shower curtain. The toilet was dirty. We had to call someone to come and clean and the guy that came to put up the shower curtain and only had a rag with no cleaning products; told us he wiped the toilet off so it's clean now. We went to get cleaning products ourself etc. We were scared to take off our shoes so we didn't walk around on the carpet. We checked bed to make sure it had no bugs. It just was not the best experience and because we weren't sure if we would be able to get our money back right then to try to find another place to stay we end up having to rough out our stay which was for two nights. Scariest stay ever. I honestly feel like if you're just looking to sneak and hook up with someone then this is your place. If you're looking for a quick stay and you don't care about the conditions then this is your place. If you're trying to hide then this is your place. It is just not what I expected at all. Especially not for that price that I paid. There were no amenities to enjoy at all. This hotel really needs amajor upgrade and they definitely need to get rid of the riff raff.
