It's a trip to college visit. Great location , very close to Ohio state university. Sheets are very clean.

Enjoyed the staff, lobby area was clean and neat but room seemed a little outdated.

This was an excellent hotel. I honestly expected a nice and straightforward stay, but the little things at this Holiday Inn Express made it even better. I love these! Kudos Holiday Inn. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful (I had trouble with the wifi, and the gentleman at the desk fixed it himself). The breakfast was nice and I used that room for work later in the day. Pool, fitness room, good coffee, a little snack market. Great place, and the OSU campus was easy access--5-10 minutes by car--or you can take the complementary shuttle! I would highly recommend this place!

The hotel is conveniently located near Riverside Methodist Hospital (as well as OSU hospitals), which is likely why they offer a discount for families with loved ones staying in the hospital. We stayed at this hotel as it was one that offered a hospital rate for families of patients. We were quoted a rate for a smaller room and also a rate for a larger room. We chose the larger room and had to extend our stay due to a prolonged hospitalization of our Mom. After staying five nights, we received the bill under the door on our day of checkout. We were shocked to see that the amounts charged each night were SIGNIFICANTLY ABOVE the amount quoted at check-in. Assuming this was an oversight, we went to the front desk, and they said that they were unable to find any record of our staying on a hospital rate (even though our Rapid Check-Out Invoice CLEARLY STATES ON THE INVOICE that we were on the company rate for Hospital). Not only could their computers not find that we were supposed to receive the hospital rate, but the hotel also somehow lost our registration card which had stated the hospital rate when we checked into the hotel. The person at the front desk was the exact same person that had checked us in for our hospital rate, and now she was stating she had no idea about it at all and that we never filled out a registration card. She stated that it had now been too many days for her to refund the difference because the amount was too much for her to refund. It was too many days because we had zero expectations that a Holiday Inn would try to charge more than the rate they quoted and checked us in with, thus we only knew we were being charged more than quoted when we received the bill. We asked to speak to a manager, and were told none was available and one would call us back. It is almost 48-hours later and no one has called, but we did receive an email from this same front-desk woman (not a manager) who again stated that we did not have the hospital rate for our stay (how they can state this when our check-out sheet provided by the hotel actually states: Company: Hospital as part of the information on our reservation). The amount of money they OVERCHARGED us was equivalent to one night's stay, so instead of paying for five nights stay, we paid for SIX. So, unless you want to be charged more than you were originally quoted, I would NOT recommend this hotel whatsoever. Which is a pity as the room was fairly nice (although the shower curtain had a strong mildew smell and absolutely needed to be replaced, and the soundproofing was not great as the noises from the corridor and neighboring rooms were more than we generally experience in a 3-star hotel, but other amenities were good for a 3-star hotel, and many of the staff were very nice and asked often about our Mom and how she was doing).

Excellent stay. Room really clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly.

I arrived at the hotel around 5 p.m. It took a long time to check in, which I should have taken as a sign that this would not be a rosy stay. I went to my room on the 3rd floor, dropped off my belongings and exited the room to have dinner and explore the OSU campus. I realized that I had forgotten something, but when I tried get into the room my key would not work. I went to the front desk and was given two new keys. They, too, did not work so I returned to the desk and the young man on duty accompanied me to my room with a master electronic key and a master real key. They did not open the door either. The employee said that he would call the engineer, so I left for dinner with the understanding that all would be taken care of when I returned. I returned to the hotel around midnight and stopped by the desk to get a key from a new front desk person--Annette--who had been informed of my situation. Went to the room, and once again the key did not work. Went back down to the desk and Annette, wearing a very comfortable-looking pair of velour bedroom slippers accompanied me to the room with a master key and a real key. Neither worked. We went back down to the front desk and she called the engineer. We then went back to the room, and using a real key Annette achieved success! (Time: 12:45 a.m.) However I was pretty much stuck in the room for the whole evening if I didn't want to go through that back-and-forth mess again. I asked about being moved to another room, but nothing was available. The next morning I was looking forward to breakfast, after seeing two dishes that looked like wallpaper paste, a decided to forgo eating an returned to my room--this time accompanied by the engineer, who finally opened the door after a little difficulty. (This place promotes its free breakfast. Don't bother). I decided it was time to checkout. All in all, the room was very basic and clean, but with all of my trips from the front desk to my room, a got a look of chance to look at the public areas. The lobby was dark and dismal, and appeared to have been decorated by Stevie wonder with items purchased at Big Lots. I also noticed that carpet in the hallways are pretty filthy. The breakfast room, too, had an uninviting aura. About the best thing that can be said is that the management knew that it had messed up, and refunded the money I'd paid for the hotel room with no argument. All of the staff were quite nice and apologetic, but a pleasant stay would have been more rewarding. What this place needs is to be torn down.

The hotel is very conveniently located near OSU campus. Rooms are spacious and clean. It has all amenities for comfortable stay. The staff is competent and friendly . Great 3 star with lots of restaurants within 10 min drive. Would stay again anytime.

We booked this room as a surprise for our two kids. The plan was to spend the night and swim then go to COSI the next morning. The staff was wonderful and the kids had a blast. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

I was very happy with my two-night stay on a weekend. The room was clean and pleasant, there were lots of choices at the breakfast buffet, and the staff was efficient. I didn't use the pool or exercise room, but they looked nice.

Great location near OSU. Quick drive to the convention center. Check in took only a few minutes. Room was comfortable and clean. Excellent breakfast but it can get crowded when large groups hit the breakfast area at the same time. Excellent water pressure for the shower. Plenty of hot water, maybe a little too hot, be careful when you first turn it on.

I needed something close to the OSU Medical Center. This hotel was clean, convenient, and reasonably priced. The breakfast in the morning was a plus. I plan to stay there again.

Location , cleanliness, frinendliness was perfect. Breakfast and pool were icing on the cake! Would definitely stay here again.

Very clean, staff was helpful directing us to great dinner places. Perfect location next to campus and a short drive to the airport. Would stay here again.

Great hotel close to OSU campus. Was a short 8-9 minute drive. Clean room, comfy bed. Great free breakfast. Didn't swim but pool and hot tub looked great. Would definitely stay here again when visiting OSU area!

Everyone was friendly and helpful. The lobby and room were tastefully appointed and very clean. The pool was a delight. The breakfast buffet was an exceptional value with a large array of choices including fresh pancakes! This was Columbus at its best. Thanks!

The Holiday In Express Hotel team provided a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy our stay and the staff was very professional in ensuring the customers needs were met. We will stay here again the next time we are in Columbus. Ohio.

We were in the area for a girls softball clinic at OSU. The hotel exceeded our expectations!!! Pool/hot tub area was great. Fitness center was small but my daughter appreciated being able to work out the night before camp. Our room was clean and very comfortable. Beds were amazing & for once the shower was fantastic. Water pressure I've never seen before in a hotel!!! The bathroom was also spotless! We will definetly stay here again when we come to the area. The location to the area of campus we were going to was fabulous. This Holiday Inn is well beyond a mid priced hotel!!! Staff was courteous & friendly, just an all around great place to stay!!!

I stayed here for my sons Fall Commencement at OSU. My plane was 5 hours late arriving in Columbus my rental car left a bit to be desired and I checked into my room 6 hours later than planned. What a pleasent surprise that was. Staff were warm and friendly and my room was absolutely OUTSTANDING. I stayed two nights and was so comfortable while there I didn't want to leave. So close to everything to do with the campus and the activities we had planned for the weekend. Next time I'm in the Columbus area, I will absolutely stay here. Wonderful experience! Thank You all!

It was very clean and comfortable. I wish there was a dining service though.

Husband is a cancer patient at The James Cancer Ctr at Ohio State Medical Ctr. Thus location, staff, and shuttle to the Center make this an enjoyable stay under the circumstances
