It was a great stay. Walking distance to the event we were attending. Wasn't too happy about ice machine not being on the same floor as our room and the skywalk not being available.

I was told there would be a $19.00 service charge upon check in. Huh?! $10 would be credited to the bill if I ate at the hotel. I had breakfast the next morning but was told there would be no credit because I didn’t use my credit the day I checked in. Again huh? Can’t have breakfast when check in is at 4:00 pm Also our bed had a nasty stain on the sheet that we didn’t see until it was too late to call housekeeping. Shouldn’t the sheets be examined before placing them on the bed? It’s either carelessness or lack of concern for the guests.

Well located, newer, service was so so
Perfect for events at Nationwide Arena, short walk. But they were tremendously understaffed considering it was well known months in advance that there was a concert that night. They could have made money hand over fist if they were properly staffed; instead they ended up with frustrated customers and employees.

I like how close the Sonesta is to Nationwide Arena. The staff are attentive and friendly. My one gripe is that there was no hand lotion in the bathroom. Other than that, I would stay at Sonesta again.

We booked a superior king room; the room looked nothing like the photo here on Expedia. This was totally misrepresented. Prepaid on Expedia, but charged a $20 destination fee at checkout. Valet was $45 for overnight parking. Dated, dingy, dark, dreary. Paper-thin walls; you can every word of every conversation in the rooms next door. Overal, very disappointed. Staff was pleasant and walkable location to downtown and Short North.

We loved the hotel in general! Very clean and pretty rooms. I felt very rushed checking in with guest services and confused about charges that were made. We were also woke up at 8 am on a Sunday by banging in another room. I will only assume they were fixing something but it lasted a good two hours (on a Sunday morning! 😩)
