We prepaid 2 night through Orbitz, BIG MISTAKE, since I paid ahead of time. I am the owner of an American Express PLATINUM card and many others. We did the check in and gave a credit card. At night I ordered room service for dinner an$11 USD sándwich. and next day a 6:30 am breakfast. They deliver a nasty letter at night saying that I did not have funds to cover the food. in the morning the waiter at 6:30 am was rude that he could not deliver breakfast if I do not pay.... I gave him my AE Platinum card he charged and came back. THIS IS THE NASTIEST EXPERIENCE, LOWGRADING, RACIST EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD IN MY LIFE. Went down later and complained. the HEAD MANAGER of the Hilton hotel was not there, everybody un polite they never apologized. the HEAD Manager of this hotel NEVER apologized. VERY NASTY PEOPLE. If I did not have the 2 nights prepaid I would have left. After I complaint went back to my room and the lock was deactivated, could not get into my room. So I had to go down again and have them actívate the lock to enter my room. THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. WILL NEVER GO TO A HILTON AGAIN AND I WILL SEND THIS COPY OF THE NASTY LETTER I RECEIVED, THAT I KEPT TO HILTON UPPER MANAGEMENT. I WAS INSULTED OF NOT HAVING FUNDS TO PAY AN $11 usd SANDWICH AND A BREAKFAST, THEY LOCKED ME OUT OF MY ROOM. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. THE HEAD OF THE HOTEL NEVER DROPPED AN APOLOGY NOTE, NEVER APOLOGIZE, WAS NEVER THERE WENT WENT TO COMPLAIN, I JUST COMPLAIN TO A PERSON IN THE FRONT DESK.

On a slow day for the hotel, at 3pm room still not made up. They came right away, but awkward hanging around room while being cleaned.

The common areas as you walk in are nice but the rooms and Hallways were to small and old. The wood was chipping away and paint scuffed. The pool area is dark and bland. It something you would expect out of Russia.

The hotel suited us well. Weekend trip --college visits. The room was clean, it just needs updating. Elevators shake on the way up and down to the 24th floor. Pricing for Valet was $28 per day... pricey!

We stayed just one might, but could have stayed a week. The room was so comfortable and clean. All the staff we encountered were fantastic and very helpful. This historic hotel is simply gorgeous.

My wife and I enjoyed a romantic weekend stay in Cincinnati and enjoyed the looks of the hotel. The only issue we had with the hotel was that the air conditioner was broken in our room. We got in our room later in the night and went straight to bed so it wasn't a huge deal until we woke up sweating that morning. I told the staff about it when we checked out but apparently "there was nothing they could do about it". Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

If you want a location that allows you to experience life in two different States, then the Hilton Netherland is your best choice.

This hotel hosts live jazz in the lounge on Friday and Saturday nights. The music is always first-class and it pairs very well with an overnight stay. Nice to walk up to your room at the end of the evening vs driving home.

My wife and I wanted to do something different for our anniversary ,we decided to go to the city. The location was great,the restaurant in the hotel was amazing,the staff was friendly,the bed was comfortable,they could put a refrigerator in the room and update the bathroom a little. This was a very nice hotel and we had a nice experience and will more than likely return

We were in town for a baseball game and decided to stay at this hotel due to its proximity to the stadium. The hotel is really neat since it is so old. Since it is old, the rooms are small but still nice. The only two things that I would complain about are 1. There was a hair left on the shower wall from the previous occupant. 2. All the components for the coffee maker in the room were not there - the hotel did compensate for this by giving us two free breakfasts. If I had paid full price for this hotel, I would have been pretty upset since it was not up to the standards that I expected. It is possible that we would stay here again, but I would look into other hotels first.

We loved this hotel. It has lots of history and incredible decorations. It you go to one of the games (Reds or Bengals), just walk a couple blocks and your home.

We went last summer for a Reds game and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was updated nicely, but had a feel of a fancy place from the 1930s. There was a small hole in the wall, maybe for some repairs ongoing? Comfortable, good staff, would stay here again anytime I'm in Cincinnati.

I stayed here for business. The location was prime. The hotel was clean, quiet and staff was friendly. I would definitely stay here again business or pleasure.

My husband and I just wanted an overnight getaway and this was perfect! Beautiful hotel, great staff...can't wait to go back!

For the money, the room was very small. We ordered two drinks up and they were the smallest drinks I have ever received, and at around $12.00 a drink, way over priced. The room seemed clean and the front desk people were attentive. Overall- expensive for the value. Below it has that I traveled for a conference, and I cannot get it to change- it was for pleasure.

Only stayed for 18 hours to attend a concert, but the hotel room much nicer than anticipated. The hotel itself is old, but my room was great with direct access to the elevator. Ordered late night room service, which took over two hours to get, but the hotel was sold out due to the concerts in town so I understood. Unfortunately, the hotel itself in terms of age would deter me from recommending it to a friend, but if in need of an immediate room, I wouldn't shy away from this hotel.

terrible experience will never stay in a hilton

great hotel in downtown cincy
