They let me check in early which was nice. Overall it was a comfortable stay. 10 minutes Uber ride to historic downtown.

Massive building construction project underway next door. Work began under the lights well before day break. Check-in was processed quite efficiently by a very busy young lady who was solely staffing the front desk. Staff seemed quite cheerful and greeted each customer.

The hotel was fine but getting to it is harder because of construction going on next to it.

Overall not a pleasant stay. We came in and no one even bothered to get us a luggage cart never mind help wirh luggage We went to the gym and borh of the treadmills were out of order. The air conditioner made a hirrible clanging sound and kept going on and off all night long. Worst of all there was construction going on right next door and it was not mentioned on the web site. I would not stay there again and would not recommend it.

Convenient. Good value. Construction made for some difficult navigating.

I know construction around a hotel is not their fault but it certainly impacts your stay. Between buildings going up and road construction it was tough to get in and out of the hotel. Plus parking is a problem. It appeared there was additional parking next door but personally I wasn't comfortable in the area to leave my car away from the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Once the construction is completed it would be a great place to stay. Good location!

Nice hotel. Very Convenient! BTW, I like the free breakfast there.

Very good for price . An easy drive to Meeting street and old Charlston.

they need to do something with the empty lot next door what an eyesore

I had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express Charleston Downtown. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel was a bit further from downtown than I anticipated, but a beautiful 45 minute walk to Market Street or $7 uber ride made getting to and from downtown easy. The room was slightly smaller than expected, but was clean and comfortable.

The room lacked lights,,,, no closet,,,no mirror,.,bed was broken and slanted,,,,noise all night ,,,

Small room but clean. Breakfast was nice with some hot items. Customer service and check in were great.

Location was great for getting over to West Ashley and all the great spots on the peninsula. Staff very warm.

I thought this is walking distance to downtown Charleston. Don't be fooled. Its right of the exit with heavy traffic.

An overall good experience-great location, clean property, helpful staff. My only complaint was the A/C vent was right beside the head of the bed and I had to stack pillows up to keep it from blowing in my face all night. Breakfast was exceptionally good and free-plenty of space and tables to relax with your USA Today. My TV remote would not change channels but a call to the front desk got a replacement delivered within 5 minutes. I will stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

We weren't in the room much more than to sleep. Very comfortable beds. Quiet rooms even though at bigger intersection

Hotel was clean. Great for family. Great area. Nice amount of space. Would recommend to a friend. Would stay here again and again. Friendly staff.

We went to Charleston for 3 nights and stayed here. The location is about 1.5 miles from downtown. It's walkable (we did it once) but renting a bike or taking the free bus (only goes until 8:40ish pm) is the best way to go. It's not spectacular but a lot less money than most hotels in the area and there was a free breakfast. Overall, it's not amazing but it has everything you'll need and the staff were nice.

Not value for the money. night staff was not very helpful.

Nice small hotel at good location near trolley line entering downtown. Room is also clean. Friendly staff, breakfast is also fine. Part of our perfect two-day trip at Charleston.
