Nice stay

We had a standard room, which was fine for what we needed for a two night stay, the room was comfortable and clean. The only issue was the shower, it did not drain properly and as the shower screen did not cover the whole of the side of the shower, we ended up with all water over the bathroom floor. The buffet breakfast was o.k, there were lots of options but unfortunately on both mornings some of the food was cold. The first morning we had a nice table by the window, the second day we sat further back along the wall, the tables here are quite squashed together and there is not much space to get in and out if you are sat against the wall, as the tables are close to each other you do not really get any privacy either, the people on the tables either side can hear your conversations. All the staff we dealt with were friendly especially the man who was working behind the bar on Saturday night.

The Grand has definitely seen better days but overall I enjoyed staying there. My room was beautiful and the bed was very comfy. The beachfront is very noisy at night with some 'interesting' people wandering around but I guess that it is because it is a touristy area. Brighton is not somewhere I would visit again.

Great stay.

Lovely hotel great breakfast and very efficient and friendly staff. Air conditioned rooms and it’s very quiet. Small but perfectly formed rooms, however there is a dull noise that comes from outside if you are on the 1st floor at the back so look for a higher floor!

House keeping left a lot to be desired. Twice during a two week stay they didn’t clean my room. Carpeting needs cleaning in room. Twice their supplies were left in the room. I actually appreciated it cause I used them to do additional cleaning. Housekeeping needs much more attention to detail.
