No AC in the room. As a disabled person the shower was actually dangerous. On the morning of the first night, I arrived in the Restaurant at 7.05 and the Breakfast was not ready. When I asked when it would be available the lady just totally ignored me. The room was not serviced at the first day. Overall a pretty bad experience.

A Strange and Disappointing Stay – Wouldn’t Return I don’t usually leave reviews but our recent stay was just too odd not to comment on. On the plus side, the staff were generally friendly (with the exception of one female receptionist), and there was plentiful, free parking – though be aware you need to register your car on arrival to avoid a fine. Breakfast is also cheaper (but not worth it imo) if booked on arrival. We weren’t offered that so two hours after check in, were charged more - ridiculous! Beds were quite comfy. The hotel looks lovely in photos, but the reality is quite different. The building is clearly full of potential but feels tired and unloved. The exterior is grubby, with dirty windows and cobwebs giving the impression that it hasn’t had a good clean in quite some time. It really could be beautiful with the right investment and a bit of care. Inside, things are no better. The décor is a haphazard mix of cheap, mismatched furniture and fittings – it all feels a bit thrown together, rather than lovingly restored. Our room, while clean, had an odd layout that didn’t make much sense. More concerning was the fact that our nearest fire exit was completely blocked by boxes of flat-pack furniture, and a towel was being used to prop open a fire door. We also used the ‘spa’ area, which sadly continued the theme. The floor was covered in surface water that you had to wade through, and they use non-slip tape on the steps which was peeling off - yuk!

Once upon a time Royal Court

Looked forward to our stay, it was a well equipped room with fridge, tassimo, kettle and large screen TV. However we had stained bedding, towels smelled not fresh, the view was a trees foliage, no air con. Guests banging doors and running around the corridors, you could hear next rooms plumbing. Dinner was a two slices of meat carvery with frozen veg mix for dinner, cake in bowls. Breakfast was decent assortment, fruits, cereal & fry up. A very tired hotel in need of care and investment

Poor stay!

I booked a room with a double bed. I got a tiny, old room in the corner of the building with a single bed. It was old, with really old, beaten furniture. Car park was full so had to park down a dark, littered road, staff were not friendly. I went for breakfast only to find it was not included in the expensive price and had to get a voucher from reception. Staff were not friendly, almost like they couldn't be bothered.

Shocking, terrible treatment to my family

This was one of the most appalling hotel experiences I’ve ever endured. My family – including a young child and elderly relative – were left stranded late at night with no care, empathy, or support. We arrived at 12:00pm and were told our rooms would be ready shortly. The manager, Munish, confirmed both bookings and accepted we’d return at 11:00pm after a family event. I asked to leave our bags but was told there was nowhere to store them. We had to use our car to store them, luckily we arrived by car. When we returned at 11:23pm (after a family event), exhausted, we were told no rooms were available. This, despite confirmed bookings and earlier in-person assurance. No assistance – just cold dismissal. To make matters worse, a staff member, Jag, was just laughing (I was absolutely gobsmacked). When challenged, he admitted laughing but excused it as unrelated. Another staff member, Muhammad, also laughed. It was clear our stressful situation that they've caused wasn’t taken seriously. Over an hour later, rooms “suddenly” became available. During check-in, I was handed a sign-in sheet showing another guest’s full personal details – a serious GDPR breach. The room we got was filthy, with mould in the bathroom and a hole in the door. You failed on every level – hospitality, professionalism, hygiene, data protection, and basic human decency. The emotional toll this caused my family was immense, and we were treated with shocking disregard in a moment of real vulnerability.

The lady that checked us in didnt have an ounce if good customer service at all. She knew our room wasnt simple to find yet she had me go on a wild goose chase. Breakfast nor dinner wasnt explained neither was checkout. Her attitude was not what you woukd expect being front if house. Chargeable pool was not good either when you are a hotel guest the £4 fee should be waivered.
