Excellent warm clean room. Friendly staff. Good bar staff reasonable food prices Bathroom ok but could do with being upgraded. Central position. No real complaints. Reception and booking in good even though a crowd

A big group of us stayed here in July 17. It was a nice place to stay, comfortable beds and nice room. All round a nice hotel. The breakfast was brilliant, lots of choice and very tasty. I would stay here again.

Very poor experience, missinformed when booking around car parking, rude staff, superior room was certainly not and portrayed refreshments weren’t provided. Will not use again after this experience...

Excellent hotel and location for a few nights break. Room was spotless and beds very comfortable. Price was average for the area as it’s in the centre of the nightlife. Staff well presented and helpful .

Chain hotel. Parking and location good. Bed lovely, but you'd expect that from a chain. Hotel seemingly taken by surprise by the number of people checking in - queue too long, prompting a fellow arriving guest to wait in the bar. Check-in process too protracted, and worsened by another receptionist rudely interrupting mine to use her terminal, even though two other unoccupied terminals were available. Hot and stuffy bedroom. Windows can't be opened and the air conditioning is locked down and only minimally responsive. So, your CO2 concentration is in the hands of people who can't even balance the contrast on the TV. Breakfast food was substandard, with tough, over-, or perhaps frequently-cooked sausages. Then much confusion over a repeating tannoy announcement: "There has been an incident in the hotel; please await further instructions." The restaurant staff did no such thing - instead, they immediately scurried out en masse, leaving puzzled clients to look on. Approached later by a marshall who asked us to leave, even as those who had already left were returning to their seats. Wonder how it might cope with a real emergency?

Stayed for one night on business, ok location 10-15 mins from New St station and parking on site. Check in was very slow as there was a conference on, in fact this slowed eveything down, the lifts, bar service etc. However two main frustrations, the key to my room kept failing, I was on the 16th floor so had to keep returning to reception to sort it (as did other guests). Given the lifts werecso busy as mentioned this took 10-15 minutes each time. Also I was on an inclusive booking with dinner and breakfast picked up by my employee, but each time I ate I was told that it wasnt included and things had to be checked with reception. Not the end of the world but a bit embarassing and time consuming. The room was great with everything I needed and the staff were helpful. Overall I have found jurys inn nice hotels but simple processes are letting them down, therfore what could have been a great stay becomes an average one

Fantastic hotel to stay in, lovely room, breakfast was absolutely brilliant and a special mention for Pablo on the front desk couldn't have been more helpful.Would definitely stay here again.Everthing we wanted to see was in walking distance.Only 10 minutes to Villa Park in a taxi that cost £10.Some nice bars on the same street as the hotel.

We stayed at Jury's Inn Birmingham for one night and I have to say I was very pleasently surprised Very well located in Central Birmingham with easy parking (though you do have to pay extra) the hotel is modern, clean and very well presented and seems a slight cut above the usual budget offerings Check in was quick and fuss free, and the room was big and well appointed with tea and coffee making facilities. Beds were big and very comfortable with great pillows, and could easily have slept a family of 4 The hotel lobby / bar are is stylish and well used and drinks were not expensive Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice of both hot and cold food A good base to explore Birmingham that doesn't cost the earth

My fiancée booked this as a Valentines treat but it wasn't ideal. The grand entrance, opulent décor and caliber of staff give a great impression that the hotel is at the higher end of the scale. Staying here as always been on my want list as I thought it would surpass my usual haunts like the ibis. Unfortunately the grand lobby is where it ended. The hotel is in an ideal position for all the wonderful attractions offered by Broad Street and the surrounding areas. The breakfast here was excellent as were the staff, however the opulence of the lobby didn't extend to the room and left me feeling a little deflated. The room offered a 3/4 bed that I would describe as uncomfortable, the room layout seemed designed to be wheel chair accessible but for two able bodied guests it was rather cramped. I would say this room in particular was a passion killer! Where hanging a "Do Not Disturb" sign on your door will make no impact what so ever and appears not to apply to housekeeping . The inter connecting doors are great if you are travelling with the guests next door, not good when the children of random strangers in the next room repeatedly try the door knob over an extended period and you get to listen to them being told off and swore at, having a bath and listening to their Disney film/kids channel through the flimsy wall making it impossible to hear the television in your own room. Can honestly say the mood was well and truly dampened and we may as well have stayed home with our own children. I am sure this is a great place for business trips but as a romantic break I would not recommend.

Arrived around 3pm on Saturday and got checked in within a couple of minutes. Lady at reception was helpful. Our room was on the 11th floow, good view over the city. Very clean and spacious lobby area and very impressed with the room (standard double). Had a kingsize bed, tea, coffee, hot choc and biscuits. And a bath and shower too. TV with all channels. Very clean and lots of room in the room too. Perfect location near lots of bars restaurants and for the glee comedy club too. Everything within 10 mins walking distance... No outside noise, considering its close proximity to clubs, but that being said, perhaps the walls are a little thin in the bedrooms........ great stay though would definitely come again.
