For under £50 this was way above what I was expecting. A good shower, clean and spacious room with desk and sofa space and right next to a very pleasant little pub. Perfectly located for my day at Birmingham & Midland Institute

Stayed over for a night going to see Chris Rock, perfect walking distance to the arena. Room was clean and bed was big and comfy. Pretty much everything that you need for a night. Bathroom fine and I did like how the toilet door and bathroom door could be moved so more than one person could use it was the same time. Breakfast was pretty basic, just some cheap bread and fruit etc but it’s free so worth going to if you’re hungry. Staff very friendly and quick on check in. I did find the room cold though. Would stay again for one night if going to the arena.

We visited here for one night only and we were completely satisfied with everything! Room was large enough and clean. Bed was large and pillows great, nothing to complain. Only downside was that check in time was 2pm and we arrived 11am.

This is our 3rd visit and everyone when we have visited Birmingham Arena for a show, it is just about a 15 minute walk and on a nice day is so lovely to walk by the canal to it. The hotel staff are so friendly, rooms so clean and comfortable, we have been on the 3rd and 4th floors usually at the back of the hotel where the outlook is not good but it is really quiet. The breakfast is good all self service continental style, tea coffee is on tap the whole time of your stay and there is also these facilities in your room, a really nice TV and free WiFi. We have always booked on line but I believe if you go on Ibis website you can get a discount. We will be doing that next time. There are loads more of restaurants nearby also and a great Greene King pub called The Malt House all which do great food. Not that we have but I believe the shopping centre is also walking distance away but if not there are buses very close that go there. All in all an excellent hotel for a short stay in Birmingham. I will be staying there again. There is an under cover car park but there is a charge of £13 per 24hours.

Great location and the nicest reception staff I have met for a long time. A real minor room things but were taken on board straight away. Lovely and clean, comfortable and friendly. I would definately be back and recommend to friends and family. Well done :)

On the first occasion I stayed here back in 2016, there was a delicious Cadbury’s chocolate bar waiting for me in the room. This time however, only a note to say ‘enjoy the gift’, but no accompanying chocolate! Nonetheless, despite being marked down slightly this time for that minor disappointment, the hotel offers a decent night’s sleep in a comfy and quiet environment. The hotel is conveniently situated in Birmingham. The continental style breakfast, however, is a real let down and a pretty poor effort all round. Fill up on the coffee and orange juice as you’re note going to have a filling breakfast.

Friendly staff and clean, spacious, comfortable room. Super comfy bed. Free breakfast a bonus! Great location, 7 minutes from Birmingham New Street Station. Lots of restaurants, cafes and bars close by including winner of best Indian restaurant in West Midlands. Highly recommend.

Stayed here for one night as we were going to see Strictly at the arena. Secure parking which was great -one way system is difficult to work your way around if you get it the wrong lane! Easy quick check in -staff are lovely and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was continental but there was a choice. I would suggest get breakfast elsewhere if you’re really hungry 👍. This is a cheap, comfortable, central budget hotel. Brilliant shopping area within easy walking distance. Downsides-bigger towels please and extra pillows -one one extra pillow in the room. Overall excellent hotel reasonably priced for city centre.

We spent some days shopping in Birmingham. We were three girls so we shared a double room with a sofa bed. The room itself wasn't that big, but we had enough space. The sofa bed seemed quite fragile but it was okay for a few nights and the price we paid. The towels were changed every day which wasn't necessary because we didn't put them on the floor as mentioned on the flyer for an environmentally friendly project (project 21? I think) in the bathroom. The selection at breakfast could be a bit bigger. The location of the hotel was great - nearly everything can be easily reached on foot.

Just an overnight visit to the city and we had a most comfortable night's sleep. The breakfast was more than adequate and very pleasant and all the staff were very friendly. We did go out late in the evening and returned to find the car park closed but there was free overnight parking at the front of the hotel. We have added this hotel to our 'go to' list for our visits to Birmingham. (There's also a fab view of the iconic library from the front too!)
