Stayed here before a flight, reception staff friendly and welcoming , comfy bed , quiet nights sleep, easy to find, onsite parking which is a plus and a great meal in Marcos restaurant, will stay again!!
Can not fault the hotel itself , it is clean modern and has spacious rooms. Parking is another matter , it is a free for all in the car park and people park in the stupidest places( I have been blocked in twice and needed to wait o we an hour for someone to move their car) you can use the multi storie nearby , but of its raining you have had it!! Restraunt is lovely , but be warned do not order room service , it was desusting and cold and when I challenged my order the server agreeded it was the wrong order and said he would be back (he never returned) I tried contacted reception but the phone in the room did not work!! Will not be staying again, which is a shame as I have been staying every few weeks for the last two years.
The holiday Inn was really nice. One was treated like a adult! This meaning being a free being! The room was spacious and clean. the pool was nice and Solihull town centre was not to far away. The meals were not over priced. Plus the dining room was bustling and fine. I will definatly go again if need be.
I was booked in on business and had an executive room. Free kit Kat, OJ, slippers bath robe lovely toiletries and shower. The bed..most comfy. TV had all freeview channels. Good selection of tea coffee and hot chocolate. Would go back tomorrow. No noise from airport but some from the road outside. Only downside was the lovely lady who booked a taxi for me got the wrong address and caused some delays. However it happens we are human and make mistakes. I got to work on time. No harm done.
Probably the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. Great breakfast too! Very pleasant and helpful staff - I think everybody we saw said "hello". A thoroughly relaxing way to start a (much needed) holiday.
Stayed here for one night before an early morning flight. Room was spotlessly clean and beds exceptionally comfortable. All staff were very pleasant and helpful, however, I feel I must praise 2 in particular. On the way to the bar for a meal a young lady named Chloe, who was delivering room service waited for us to walk down the corridor so we didn't have to squeeze pass her and the trolley. Such a pleasure to see. Ylyas drove the minibus to the airport early next morning . Very pleasant man who chatted comfortably with us during the journey (5.30am departure and we were the only 2 passengers). We had realized that as our return flight was due to arrive at 1.10pm but there was no return shuttle bus until 3.15pm. Ylyas took the time to explain why there was no bus for this period and advised us about the local bus that we could catch on our return that stopped at the hotel. When he dropped us off he pointed out the bus stop and then directed us into departures. Excellent service. All the staff were very pleasant and I have no hesitation in giving this hotel and the staff the recognition it deserves.
Stayed here for 4 nights on a training course and everything about the hotel was great. The room I stayed in had recently been refurbished to a good standard and the bed was really comfortable with a good nights sleep every night. The hotel is located right by the NEC, resorts world and the airport with a shuttle bus running to them making it really convenient and easy to find. Whilst between a main road and the airport, the windows are really well soundproofed and you don't hear any external noise. The best thing about the stay was the staff, everyone I encountered was really happy and couldn't do enough to help. Breakfast was a buffet with plentiful supply and excellent quality. We had dinner in Marcos restaurant a couple of times and found the food to be really good and great value for money. Will definitely be returning when in Birmingham again.
Decent hotel, clean and handy for airport, but totally spoilt by there overpricing on food and drinks.they were even more expensive than the airport.stop ripping your guests off.we got a taxi to a harvester pub down the road ,saved a fortune
I had a late check in booking for this hotel on an overnight stay for an early flight the next day. I've stayed before and was not impressed and so I was not hopeful. I arrived to find the car park full and only by chance found a space as someone left after several minutes cruising around the car park. Seeing several spaces taken by skips was irritating to say the least. So, I was already getting ready for a poor stay. I went to check in loaded down by bags and things improved dramatically. First the place looked cleaner and brighter, I went to reception to be welcomed by a friendly smile (BIG improvement on last time) and a little empathy as I was tired after a long trip up. I was allocated a room, and was even helped to it by one of the staff - another step up! The room was good, very good, clean, fresh and welcoming! Free wifi - yes, in the room, yes! Is this the same hotel? I was too tired to try a meal, and I missed breakfast the next day (the joy of travel!) but I had a great night sleep in a quiet room and a nice shower in the morning to lift my spirits. Check out was positive (two great helpful guys on reception) and fast, OK I ended up with problems at the carpark barrier (I guess the car park just doesn't like me!), but reception sorted it, no problem. So...I was somewhat concerned about my stay, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff were great and the room nice - what a turn around. Now, just sort the car park and I'll be more than happy! Will I visit again - yes.
I was very impressed with the Holiday Inn close to Birmingham Airport. It was clean, comfortable and though I only stayed one night with friends I would really like to register that it was a super hotel. The staff were courteous and attentive and one particular bonus was the early breakfast which the Hotel provided from 3am. This was very good facility for travellers who have flights to catch in the small hours of the morning. I would definitely stay at this hotel again! A big thank you to all the staff.
