The hotel is only 1mile outside the city (where there is lots of building work so we didn't want the noise) & really easy to get in as a bus stop is right outside or u can walk 20mins. We got free parking. There is a large bar & restaurant area. Great breakfast, very comfy beds & a smallish but perfectly sized room with everything you need. Will defo go again as Birmingham has tonnes to see & do, & after seeing all the building work would stay here again as lovely & quiet.
i had a great time at the hotel staff coundnt be more helpful made to feel right at home i will go there again really comfortable room great view staff very warm friendly I great Wi-Fi as well nothing out of place
Good location, free parking and good value for money (for the room at least) I wouldn't recommend the food, very overpriced and it's not the quality that your paying for, same goes for the drinks at the bar, but plenty of bars and restaurants nearby so this shouldn't be an issue.
Good deals when booking direct (20% off food, free parking etc). Not the most pleasant looking building on the outside but very nice inside. Spacious reception, 2 small lifts to all floors. We asked for a quiet room and got just that. Room was small but had everything we required. We ate in the restaurant that evening, the food was served quickly and was well cooked. Breakfast the next morning was plentiful. Would happily stay here again for an overnight.
Well located, plenty of free parking, nice refurbished room with a large, comfy bed and aircon. The staff were very friendly and I got some free stuff for booking direct, full breakfast was very good, its cheaper if you pre-book it
We stayed here for one night. On arrival the reception area is lovely with parking onsite as well. Breakfast was really good as well! But the rooms are so so tiny!! For the price we can't complain but wish the rooms were just slightly bigger!
This is the second time I've stayed at the Hallmark in Birmingham and the stay was faultless. It's a short distance from city centre, but there is free secure parking. The room was compact, but very well appointed and comfortable with everything I needed travelling for business. There was a great deal on dinner for booking direct with hotel and all staff were very friendly. HD tv provided and decent tea and biscuits and really useful reading lights in bed.
We paid £130 for two nights B&B with dinner and a shared bottle of house wine on one night. We were warmly greeted by Mohammed at breakfast, who was thereafter attentive in a very engaging way, (and not just to us). Christina served us at dinner and was thoroughly charming. Her six years working at Strathallan bears testament to her obvious appreciation of her supportive working environment. Claire's local knowledge enabled us to make the most of our limited time in Birmingham. Local buses nos 126 and 9, run very frequently from right outside the hotel, which has ample free parking.
Spotlessly clean all staff wonderfully polite it's not a five star hotel but doesn't try to be. It's a really comfortable place to be if you're on business there are no pretences. Modem surroundings and plenty of sofas in the public areas.
Stayed here for 1 night on Saturday and was pleasantly surprised at how good I was made to feel, from checking in to finding my room. The room was a single but the bed was a 3/4 and very comfortable, there were tea and coffee making facilities complete with complimentary biscuits. I was there for a party and the room and buffet were superb. The breakfast next morning was excellent with plenty of choices both on the cold and hot counters and as much tea and coffee as you could drink. All in all a brilliant overnight stay
