My boyfriend had booked a surprise night for us at this hotel and I was quite excited as thought the hotel to be of a high quality. On checking in, the receptionist indicated that the room was £84 for the night not including breakfast. I was a little taken back as I often stay in and around birmingham and this seemed slightly on the high side not to include breakfast. We were tild if we book breakfast now we get it for £16, otherwise if we request it in the morning it will be £30!! Obviously we booked it then and there. It felt like a sales pitch. We were given a slip to hand in at breakfast the next morning. We got our room card and went to our room. Wow! It was so small! We had been put in a room right on an angle. To walk to the bathroom, I could easily hit my head off the tv on the wall it was so small. The room was average but could not get over the shape of the room and how little it was. From our window was just views of walls and other windows to rooms we could see into. On the evening we came back to the hitel to have drinks in the bar and it was awkward as two staff members were verbally having an open disagreement. Breakfast was very average, luke warm hot buffet. Overall for £100 per night including breakfast, I would of expected much more. Wont be returning unless on a very special offer. Ive stayed at better hotels in the centre of Birmingham for less.

On arrival at the hotel we were told that we couldn’t check in until 3pm, even though being told in an earlier phone all that the hotel were ready for us! Anyway, after a lot of confusion between the 2 receptionist we were given the key cards to our room and proceeded to take the lift to the 7th floor. We had several attempts to enter our room but the key cards would just not work....obviously because this room had been allocated someone else! We found this out when a lady who had obviously been sleeping opened the door to us!!!!!! So it was obviously back down to reception. The receptionist seemed rather surprised when I told her the room allocated to us was already occupied! Another 10 minutes of both receptionist discussing the issue we were given new key cards to another room and told “TRY THIS ONE”! Oh my word what a small room 2 single beds at an angle on walking past the beds to get to the seating area we had to “lust” to one dude in order that we didn’t hit our head on the tv on the wall. As for the view from our room ... it was shocking felt as if we were in a prison. I thought our room was small but when we called to our friends room that we had travelled with I couldn’t believe that their room was even smaller! So small in fact their double bed was against 2 walls!!!! This was the 3rd room they had been allocated as the first 2 they were given were already occupied!!!! Our only positive was that the breakfast was excellent really good quality, the downsize was that breakfast hours were 7.30 until 10.30am but by 10am everything was cleared away🤔

ok so people say the outside is dated yep maybe but get your self inside great reception staff very helpful nice room which has had a great makeover comfy beds great shower fantastic buffet style breakfast lots of choice and the win win fantastic indoor parking very safe

Stayed there last night as a base for a gig at the o2. Very friendly greeting and full of information. The room itself was nice and clean, although small, but we only needed to sleep in it. We were in one of the inward facing rooms so the view was, erm, interesting! I've only given 4 stars as the room was exceptionally hot overnight as it was so small. The air con unit only goes as low as 18 degrees so I hardly slept. Also not very good sound proofing so I heard every step in the corridor and spent most of the night listening to next doors tv. That brought this review down to a 3 star, however breakfast pushed it back up again. A very very good help yourself buffet. Everything from fruit, porridge, pastries and full fry up. It was all very well cooked and hot. Also the added bonus of free secure parķing means I'll definitely use this hotel again on our next visit to Birmingham, just remember to pack ear plugs! It would have took us only half hour to walk right into the centre of Birmingham but as we were mid-storm we took an Uber and it took 5 minutes and cost £4.25. A more centrally placed hotel would have cost us 3 times what we paid here.

At check in the agent didn't smile at all. Basically just stated information one worded like a robot. When I asked about the adapters available (as stated in the guest room booklet) the agent had no clue and said I was lying about the book saying that information. I then proceeded to ask for a managers name and he hesitated before writing just the name and hotel phone on a paper, still no friendly service or apologies for miscommunication. When going to the restaurant, the hostess said I needed my room key booklet, I didn't want to go all the way to the room and the Front desk was very crowded. I ended up not going to the restaurant at all because the hostess couldn't help me without this packet, that I didn't even know was so important. Room was small and view was of a dirty wall. No free breakfast and beds were uncomfortable.

I must have stayed here a dozen times. I love it. Comfortable, friendly staff, free secured parking, power showers. The decor is a bit 1970s in style, but it's fresh, rather than faded - as if they did up the rooms recently, but in mustard and brown. Which is fine. Great value for money too.

The customer service provided at reception by staff member Bal was first class. He was extremely pleasant and friendly and was exceptionally professional in his role. He is an asset to have as front of house. The food was good and house keeping was also of a high standard. Will definitely use this hotel again.

Very impressed with this hotel. I have been staying here for the last few months up to 3 nights a week. Such friendly staff especially Bac on the reception desk. Always there with a friendly smile and a warm welcome. Rooms always spotless and housekeeping staff ensure everything is up to scratch. I have stayed in many of their rooms over the past few months and I can honestly say they are all kept to a terrific standard. Highly recommended. Exceptional value for money.

This hotel is in a central location, advertised as four star, but I think it should be three star. The rooms are small and very hot, and clostraphobic although clean. The breakfast was lovely but the service let it down. Cups were not replaced quickly enough even though customers had requested them the waiters continued to lay other tables. We had a lovely overnight stay but would not want to stay more than one night.

Quite an ugly, dated building but a pleasant surprise, once inside. We had two executive rooms on the top floor, both a good size but one was newly refurbished and the other a bit old fashioned and well worn. Perhaps worth asking for a refurbed room on check in, though I assume all will be to this standard, in time. Breakfast was well cooked but they were busy so it was a bit hit and miss, on what was available at any given time. A decent hotel with free parking, a comfortable, good night's sleep and polite, friendly staff - I'd have probably given 5* if both rooms had been to the same standard.
