We visited here for afternoon tea, which was absolutely perfect! Whenever the bring the food out I always think it doesn’t look like much however there was plenty! The sandwiches were lovely, there was even a pink one! The cakes you could tell were fresh and freshly out of the oven which made the experience that much better. My only two disappointing things were the staff we came across were: 1)slightly rude and seemed to want to be anywhere else than at work. 2) the dress code was smart and specifically said NO jeans and therefore we followed this and made sure we complained to turn up to a ground wearing jeans, jeans skirt and one wearing jean shorts. They were loud and obnoxious and nothing was done to keep the peace. Overall we had an amazing time with the food however the experience was disappointing

Although there was some refurbishment in progress at the rear of the hotel it did not detract from our stay which was very enjoyable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we found the room to be clean and comfortable. Dining in the Marco Pierre White restaurant was very enjoyable and the food was excellent, however it was quite pricey. The lounge and bar area of the hotel are very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of freshly cooked food. Would happily return.

It’s quite rare that I write reviews about hotels but this hotel has really gone out of their way to please me and ensure I’m well taken care of. I got ill during my business stay and the hotel staff were so helpful, they prepared tea for me, helped me sort out a doctor and then checked on me to see if I was well. Fantastic staff!!! Hotel is nice with comfy beds and all the amenities one needs. I will definitely be back!

Have just visited for afternoon tea for my mums birthday. You have a choice of 3 styles. Cream tea ( tea and scones), or sandwiches, tea and scones or the full afternoon tea (tea, sandwiches, scones and cakes) which we had. I mentioned when booking that it was my mums birthday and they said they would give her a special treat. We had a lovely waiter called Harrison who looked after us. There was a nice selection of sandwiches as well as smoked salmon. Wonderful chocolate pot and macaroons. Warm scones with clotted cream and jam. They also brought a special plate with a mini cake and macaroons saying Happy birthday. Too much to eat, so they very happily wrapped up the rest of the cakes to take home. Thank you , will visit again

Near to castle . 5 minutes walk to the railway station .Very friendly and professional staff . Big selection buffet breakfast. Easy check in. Nice bathroom. Food and service in the restaurant was top class

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night in a queen room, the room itself was okay. Spacious and clean, was very cold when we arrived as they had left the air con on. I was a bit put out by having to check in through the main hotel building which is decorated beautifully then to be told we were staying in the building opposite which was attached. The second building is awful, has a feeling of an old people's home. The view from our room was also terrible but hey ho maybe should of paid more for a superior room to get a better view. We had to pay an extra £20.00 for overnight parking, when we arrived at the car the next day it was absolutely filthy from all the trees and midgets we had to park under. My partner wasn't impressed. The bathroom could do we re-grouting as it had condensation damp between the tiles. Didn't mention anything to the receptionist as she didn't both to ask how our stay was. The bed was really comfy and the bathroom accessories were really nice.

Hotel is ideally located - Windsor Castle in across the road, the Changing of the Guard passes by the front, and Windsor's main shopping street and bars / restaurants are around the corner. Staff were very friendly, especially the bar manager who has been here for 22 years! Bed was extremely comfy and the room was a very good size - Marco Pierre restaurant attached to the hotel although we did not eat here - looked great though. Only downside was the shower was a bit erratic and flooded the bathroom floor. Would happily stay here again.

I have stayed at this property previously and had a wonderful experience, this time it was terrible, The hotel itself is fabulous and well located, it’s a great alternative to staying in London with good access to the city and Heathrow. The rooms are what you would expect from this quality hotel, lovely bedding and nice decor. The biggest letdown on this visit was the staff and lack of service. Of all the staff we dealt with over our three day stay only two made an effort to offer service, Tom in the bar and the night manager on Sunday night. The restaurant staff made you fell like you were intruding on their time, the food presented was of poor quality and took a long time to be delivered, I didn't eat mind and did send it back, without asking it was credited from the bill. When I asked why the restaurant had declined so much I was told that it was new chefs in the kitchen and they were getting use to the menu. That response didn't fill us with joy so instead of booking for a family meal on the last night we went somewhere else rather than risking disappointment again. The reception staff, it was all too hard and fob us off on a number of occasions when trying to sort out our room accounts. The deposit paid by my travelling companion had been credited to my room account - we just wanted it transferred to the correct customer. The night manager had it fixed in 2 min. The frustrating thing about all this is, we booked five months in advance, emailed the hotel to request rooms with no bath as at our age we can't be climbing over baths our requests was confirmed in writing and everything seemed very professional, on arrival our request had disappeared, one room was with a bath which wasn't acceptable, was told there was nothing that could be done. Following morning went to reception again to inform them that we couldn't manage the bath. We were moved straight away to room with shower. I'm sure this room was available the night before, there was not sign of housekeeping on the floor when we were taken to this new room and it was still early, I just think the reception staff couldn't be bothered. I understand that the turnover of staff is very high so there must be a management issue there somewhere that needs to be dealt with urgently. Every member of staff we spoke to told us that they had only been in the hotel a few weeks at most 3 months. The morale was at zero along with the care factor. Like I said they only person to serve with a smile was young Tom, he was very efficient happy and friendly and his service should be noted. Total disappointment !!! would I return again I'd have to think hard about that.

This classic hotel is situated 2 mins away from Windsor Castle. Great rooms with lovely balcony. Friendly staff and very helpful. I love their restaurant and bar with antique decoration and food was awesome.

We stayed here at the beginning of October as a long weekend away. We stayed in a superior room. The room was ok but could not see what was superior about it. The room was clean and comfortable. The room had a bit of a view of the castle. The room was not overly big and the bathroom was small too. We used room service everyday for breakfast which was always prompt. Would have been better to have to chairs in the room not a chair and a stool. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in an excellent location for getting about in Windsor. Car park spaces are a bit tight and I really don’t understand why guests are charged extra for parking when they have already paid quite a high price for there stay. Some of the exterior of the property looks a bit run down and I get that it’s an old building but the sound insulation needs looking at as you here every plane that takes off and lands at Heathrow.
