Having flown for 11 hours, weathered a lengthy immigration queue and driven a half hour to get here, all I really wanted was a shower. So it was to my utter delight they had an early room for us upon arrival as it was not expected. The check-in was easy and the fact that the woman at reception had a welcoming smile affirmed that I was at the right hotel. What I can truly affirm was this hotel was the perfect place for us to stay. Located in downtown Windsor, we were in short walking distance to not just all that Windsor has to offer but also Eton, worthy of a short walk. We were next to the Shops, Great Pubs and notably Windsor Castle. The room was nicely appointed (we stayed in Castle Mews) and it was very comfortable and nicely appointed. This location served also as a great base for our day trips to Stonehenge, Bath and Oxford. I would love the chance to stay here again.

Fantastic hotel, attentive staff, close to castle, pubs and restaurants. The perfect get away. Car park at the rear (£20 for residents). Would definitely stay again (and again, and again) - absolutely loved it.

We were here to visit Windsor Castle for the St George's Day Scouts Parade. The staff were friendly and efficient and the rooms were comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was only another £10 and excellent value. Drinks in the bar were expensive but you'd expect that and they were beautifully presented by very attentive staff. Rating would have been higher if not for a couple of things - the general toilets were not well cleaned. On Saturday night 2 had no toilet paper and 1 was in a real mess. On the Sunday they were cleaning and missed one cubicle completely as it was in use instead of waiting. Also, the brass plate and door handle to our room was really grubby and unhygienic looking.

My fiancé and I came to stay for the night. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, lovely food and very professional staff. Brilliant location. The afternoon tea is wonderful and with plenty of options to choose from. I would rate this hotel more than a four star if I could. The room was very clean and the beds are extremely comfortable.

We booked this hotel as a birthday treat and went for a more expensive hotel, but to be honest this hotel was not worth the money. For a 4* hotel it lacks basic detail. TV had really bad signal and very pixelated on nearly all channels. It did get better on the last morning. Bathroom was modern and clean. The floor towel was dirty before we used it. The rear of the door needs hooks for after showering and there was only one robe for two guests? Shower was powerful and warm - excellent! The hotel website advertises a mini bar and the receptionist stated it was complimentary on arrival, but it only contains 2 bottles of water? ? Tea and milk was limited and we had to call reception for more. The guy brought the tea and milk to our room in his hands and said 'sorry' as they had no trays! Parking is additional to the room at £20 per night. This is not stated on the website and was informed on checking in. Website is quite poor for basic information like check in/out times and parking and any facilities so had to call pre visiting. No newspapers or wake up call was offered and breakfast was additional too. Great location in the heart of the city and close to the castle, bars, restaurants and shops. I would recommend shopping about for more facilities for your money as this was not worth what we paid.

I stayed here for my father wedding last year and cannot fault this beautiful hotel at all. Situated opposite the castle, comfortable beds, light and airy rooms however slightly small. Wonderful and very helpful staff. Limited car parking spaces though and have to pay for your parking on checkout.

Location and room for this hotel very nice, unfortunately there is so many sound disturbing voice from upside of my room, but overall I am really recommend this hotel for stay for business and leisure in Windsor.

Arrived at the hotel on the hottest weekend of the year and Windsor was heaving. We didn't expect the room to be available however it was and we were showed straight to a large, beautifully decorated room in a quiet part of the hotel. Breakfast was efficient, well cooked and enjoyable. The only slight issue was parking which was difficult to say the least. Booking ahead wasn't advised yet many spaces were reserved. Overall however a really lovely stay.

We stayed for one night and can only say that the hotel was fantastic! The decor is a very classy modern finish which follows through to the rooms the staff and management were incredibly helpful and made us feel as though we were the most important guests staying there. The beds were soooo comfortable I want to know what mattresses they use as it's better than my bed at home and the breakfast was amazing and sustained us for most of day. We loved our stay so much we are going to book this hotel next time we go to London as we feel it's is worth the commute. Thank you to all at the Castle hotel in Windsor and we can't wait to come back.

Stayed for 2 nights. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Nice big shower although no bath. Had a great view of the castle towers. Prime location to explore. The staff were very friendly. We would definitely stay here again if we visit Windsor
