I stayed at this hotel as part of a conference that took place at the Castle Hotel. The reception had my room keys ready when i arrived. I was then shown to my room which was in one of the annexes. The room was fresh with netural decor and had all the amenities I needed: iron, coffee and tea, water, bathrobes and slippers. The meeting was very smooth. The staff are most attentive and helpful.
On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff , hotel in a super location only 3 minute walk from Windsor Castle and spot on for all the shops and attractions that Windsor has to offer. The hotel is clean and comfortable And worth the 4 star rating. Bar drinks expensive but reflective on the area.
THE CASTLE an ex MERCURE never deceives. Excellent welcome attentive staff throughout the hotel. Good restaurant and Bar this is our fourth visit inthe past three years. The possition and parking facilites of the hotel give the hotel a tremendous advantage. Congratulatins to all the staff.rrp
Stayed for one night to bridge my flight. Very disappointed. I have stayed at Christophe wren before， with similar price and the rooms are a notch better than this one. Costed over two hundred dollars. Should have skipped this place and stay either in the much cheaper Harte & Garter (almost next door) or the Christophe Wren. I do not recommend this place.
The suite was large, separate sitting room, bathroom in the middle, large bedroom with a comfortable king size bed. On entering, we noticed what might be described as a stuffy, dusty smell, not quite musty but along those lines. The suite needed some fresh air. It was air conditioned which was very quiet, but the windows seemed locked or at least immovable. Unfortunately, what should have been a nice restoration, instead was brown, drab tones throughout; the furnishings were brown/beige and very poor quality (and worn); the few pictures on the walls were hardly in keeping with the history of the hotel; and there was no writing desk. It looked like a restoration on the cheap. The saving grace was the bathroom - it was roomy and had an excellent large shower. Not up the standard of other M-Galley hotels we have stayed in. Certainly not worth the 300 plus GBP price tag for the suite without breakfast. Are there better alternatives in Windsor?
Love those rooms, love the fireplace and great for special events such as New Year. Recently renovated. Great for meetings too. Perfect location and enjoy the lunches or drinks at the bar when not staying over :)
My Husband booked to stay at The Castle hotel and a night out at Windsor races for my birthday present. I was very pleasantly surprised at the refurbishment, we had stayed here once before and the décor is so much better now. A nice touch was for my birthday, the hotel had left me a plate of fruit and macaroons and a voucher for a free drink at the hotel bar....thank you, very nice gesture. The bedroom was lovely, comfy bed and all you could want. The only down side was it was quite noisy from the units outside. We had room service breakfast, reasonable price for all you could have and very delicious too! Set me up for all the shopping in the town :-) Great shops and lots more to do in Windsor, a visit to the castle, boat ride or the races etc We would definitely stay at this hotel again, perfect location. Highly recommend.
This is a really nice hotel, modern, well maintained and clean. I only stayed for one night but the room was very well decorated and maintained and the bed was massive and really comfy. We ate in the Marco Pierre White restaurant and I had the Steak, as did most of our group, and mine was beautiful but a couple of others said theirs was a bit tough. However, everybody enjoyed the starters and puddings! Great location right in the centre of Windsor with the castle 2mins away. As you are right in the centre you have shops, bars and restaurants right on your door step. The hotel also has on site car parking which is ideal. Highly recommend this hotel.
I am a Platinum Accor card and was very disappointing with hotel soundproof in the room. It is a shame as the position and decor are very good, so was the reception staffs, breakfast and wifi. Room was nice and had all amenity you need. But honestly the noise from other rooms was terrible. Room 201, you feel being in Legoland! Ceiling is so old that you can hear every mouvements from room above, and when it is a child running it is even worst. We call reception and they couldn't belive how noisy it was! But you could also hear the people in adjacent room talking. Very nice to relax especialy at 23h00. Why the hatel didn't do something when renovating? Honestely can't be the only one hearing that. Restaurant was also a disappointing, staffs and food were terrible. You must pay for the name here. Welcome drink was only glass of wine or soft drink, very unusual for MGallery as normaly you can have any drink. Is it a manager in the hotel? Don't know never seen one!
