Lovely Hotel, Friendly staff, conveniently located
Confortable hotel and good location. I recommend this hotel
Nice property. Quick access to the river walk and downtown restaurants. We only had one issue when leaving the property. The front desk neglected to communicate that we needed to keep a card from our room in order to exit the parking garage. As we were trying to figure out how to get out, the gentleman working valet pulled up behind us and became very irate that he had to wait for us. He used his card and told us we should have kept our room card. I was shocked that he was so angry!
I liked the location of the property. We enjoyed our stay at Marriot. And if we go back we would definetly stay there.
The Marriot Convention center... it's LIT... it's renovated, the little extra you pay to stay at a luxury hotel is so worth it. I went to visit my great-grand daughter, and had my 2 grandchildren (ages 9 & 11) with me and we were very pleased! It was quiet, secured, 2 large TVs in the suite, COMFORTABLE pillows & bed! Bathroom...beautiful! Love it!!
I wasn't impressed. The club level was too far from rooms. The heater didn't work. We froze.
We stayed at the Marriott for my brother's wedding. We chose it for the location which is right near the river and Broad St. where all the "action" is. It did not disappoint! It was a VERY nice suite, well laid out and very clean. They do have some construction going on right now so we didn't have a great view but that wasn't what we were there for. There is a fountain out front on 9th St. which we recognized from the engagement photos, it is very pretty, and I heard tell there was a playground near by on the river walk though we never had the time to go find it.
Great service, fantastic room, good room service, great pool!
Worst experrience in over 60 years of travel! Will not return to the marriott chain in any city! Suite was across form the laundry and the main elevator to the parking garage! The worst noise 24 hours a day!!!!!!
The suite was a special treat for my best friends birthday. The accomodations were great. The layout of the suites entrance in relation to valet was a bit confusing. The front desk staff was nice and informative. The snacks, fruit and other goodies at the counter were a nice perk. All in all it was enjoyable. However two minor negative things: Our party was falsely accused in the wee hours of the morning of being too loud when in fact it was a room across the hall. All day, a young group was holding up elevators, loud and obviously tipsy/drunk in the halls. The other guests were very rude and it seemed to go un-noticed or un-addressed. Also, being accused was embarrassing. Upon checkout I asked if they were aware of it and they said sorry but there was a military AIT graduation and a large wedding party. Second, there was no express checkout bill slip under our door the next morning and the clerk kept saying she would get us an additional copy. Well in order for it to be an additional, there would have to have been an original. Small gripe but its the details that make get aways relaxing and fun. I will stay here again. Hope it is not during a graduation from the base, or rowdy wedding though!
Room was "OK" but WAY OVER deodorized for some reason; in fact the entire corridor smelled of some sort of pine cover-up.
