Staybridge Suites Savannah Historic District

I have stayed at the Staybridge a few times and always very satisfied with service, staff and accommodations. This visit started off not so much. We checked into our room and immediately realized the A/C unit was not working. After a few calls and a visit to the front desk, we were told we the engineer would look at it. This Savannah in July, the outside temperature was near 100 and the room was almost 80. We went out to make our dinner reservation an came back to find that nothing was fixed. Another call and visit to the desk and were told that the engineer went home and would look at again in the morning. After a short time later, we were told we would be given a new room tomorrow. The new room had working A/C. Although it started out going bad in a hurry, the staff at The Staybridge came thru and the rest of the weekend was great. Looking forward to our next visit to beautiful Savannah.

Enjoyed my stay. Rooms were comfortable and "vibe" of hotel was very enjoyable

Everything was great from the front desk service, the concierge, the room, the breakfast & the social hour provided Mon. - Wed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Easy check-in, clean, comfortable room, nice employees. Parking behind the building is available at a discount to other local parking services. However, lot is small and finding a spot is hard; may require parking in a structure a half block away where parking more plentiful. Breakfast choices comparable to other hotels offering breakfast and a bonus is a limited 'social' hour in the evening with a few simple options (eg - burgers and dogs; top your own taco chips) plus beer and wine.

This hotel is in a great spot near the Savannah river. Lots of restaurants and bars to wander into. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice lobby. Breakfast buffet was not anything to write home about. But who eats that anyway?

Staff was wonderful from check-in to check-out. Rooms are nice, not overly fancy, but perfect for coming back to after a long day of sight seeing. I really enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back.

Reserved king suite a week in advance and when we arrived were told there was an issue and they only had doubles available. Cold air conditioning, friendly staff and free beer at receptions made the stay better.

The room was great. The location was perfect. Just walk out of the lobby, cross Bay Street and you're at the top of the steps for River Street.

Great place, great location, close self parking, friendly staff

Far exceeded my expectations! This hotel was very accommodating, nice, and clean. Only complaint was the elevator was horribly slow and the breakfast was lacking a little. But overall a great stay, I will be back!

The hotel was nice enough for the price. It could have used a little more cleaning in the lobby and hallways. Staff was very nice and the room was clean and comfortable. The price was right for the quality of the hotel.

We had a great stay and I would recommend this hotel. The check in staff was courteous and friendly. Our room was clean and nicely appointed as advertised. There is a large dry in the entry for lounging, meals, etc. It was clean and well maintained. The hotel computers were easy to find and were easy to print from. The courtesy bathrooms were also well maintained. They had a nice self serve wine/beer and munchies in the evening. We had a first level room that had windows right on the front sidewalk. There were large wood shutters on the interior to afford privacy. Some sunlight does leak into the shutters at sunrise. I would have liked to have had another curtain to go over them. The location is fantastic. Its in the middle of the river area with a nice park across the way. Its a quick walk to anywhere you need to go in the historic district. Parking is tight here. The hotel entrance has three loading spots. The parking immediately behind the hotel is frequently full. There is overflow in a parking ramp behind the motel that is relatively convenient though. All in all I think they've done a good job considering its historic district Savannah.

location was good. wrong room (handicapped) was given and lobby did not answer phone, some staff were great and some not so great.

Perfect for a short weekend trip. The rooms were nice and big, so didn't feel boxed in. Loved the extras.

This hotel exceeded my expectations! It was perfectly located within walking distance of restaurants and downtown attractions. The breakfast was good and the service was outstanding. I definitely recommend!

I really enjoyed the stay there and the staff was very friendly and gave us information on places to go see and eat at. the location was great as well because you was less than a minute from river street.

This hotel is a wonderful place to call home while visiting this jewel of a city. It's within walking distance of nearly everything you'd want to do in Savannah, and is only a short drive away from Tybee Beach. Breakfast is included, and there's a complimentary happy hour most evenings. The room was comfortable, clean, and well equipped. The bed and linens were VERY comfortable and cozy. The hotel staff???...I've never encountered a friendlier, more accommodating, more gracious, polite, hard working, and helpful staff in any other chain hotel. Bravo! Highly recommended.

This hotel is a great deal for the money. We were in Savannah for a bachelorette party and our whole group stayed at this hotel. The best part about it was the great location. We could easily walk to all the bars and restaurants and to the historic district. The only drawback was the "full kitchen." I was told we would have silverware and plates but they only gave us two of everything when we had 4 people in each room. There also wasn't an oven. Other than that it was a good experience.

Went for food and wine festival. Great location, excellent social hour and very pet friendly. I did see a little pet stain on the hall way carpet, but the room and overall appearance was very clean. I would love to stay here again.

The room was comfortable and the location was great. The staff was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay.
