We had a fantastic stay at the Kimpton Monaco. The room was spacious, quiet, and beautifully appointed, with one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. Mornings started right with complimentary coffee, and we appreciated the well-equipped gym for a quick workout. Evenings were equally enjoyable, thanks to the excellent cocktails at the hotel bar and the overall relaxing atmosphere throughout the property. From start to finish, the service, comfort, and attention to detail made our stay memorable. We’ll definitely be returning!

The hotel canceled our entire reservation without notifying us after we reached out to Expedia to reschedule our check in day. They refused to discuss refunding the deposit we payed them, then Expedia had to intervene. Two weeks after they promised to refund the deposit, they still have not. We never stayed there.

Effete, not "exquisite"

The people who work here were excellent and doing their attentive best with facilities that were worn, stained, flaking, and threadbare at best. Considering the price tag, location and kind staff just aren't enough to make this worth it. "Exquisitely restored boutique hotel," is corporate blow hard. We got one of the suites-- deep stains on the curtains, the chair withs arms worn bare as the velveteen rabbit, stripworn carpet, and walls and doors scuffed like they don't give their cleaning crews enough time to make use of Good Housekeeping's 140 years of scuffs and finishes advice. This is a four star location with a faded, 3-star situation.

We checked in late, front desk was very nice & helpful but the hotel is very dark at night. The valet service was terrible! Honestly I don’t even know what else to say. Young & rude! The room needs a deep clean. Carpet was dirty, we found candy and a spoon along the edge of our beds which was easily visible but housecleaning just missed it. The bathroom fixtures are all rusted, the water at the sink barely came out and it made a horrible noise. No mattress protector on the bed and no fitted sheet. A flat sheet was just lying in the bed. I booked this hotel based on reviews and people got this one wrong!

We booked the Kimpton Monaco for 3 nighta for a family wedding. Everything was expensive but your paying for the location. Right next door is independence hall and the liberty bell. If your visiting this area for these attractions then great place to stay. If not its disappointing if you like 5 star hotels. We have stayed at the kimpton in Miami and this was nowhere near their level of a luxury 5 star hotel. Elevators were small and took too long

My new favorite in Philly. I'd be happy to stay here again in the future. The staff is welcoming and attentive, the space is very pretty and unique, and they really care about your comfort. Breakfast is in the Red Owl tavern, highly recommended. Plus, you can actually see they care about sustainability — not just put cheesy signs.

We love the Kimpton Monaco Philadelphia and try to stay here every time we come to town. The hotel has a funky boutique vibe with an excellent, friendly Happy Hour in the lobby each evening. The location is excellent, the staff is top notch and we love the uniqueness of the rooms. Highly recommend.

Pros-great location, attached restaurant is good, included happy hour Cons-Our room smelled strongly of mildew. When I called the front desk they had no solutions. When I reported on the 2nd day that it still smelled they sprayed chemicals around our room and gave me 2 drink tickets. Only 1 of the 4 elevators worked Saturday-Tuesday. Our sliding bathroom door was very hard to close. I reported. It wasn’t fixed. View from our window was awful.
