Sheraton Philadelphia University City Hotel

3.5 out of 5.0

The staff were fantastic at all points. The hotel was clean. It is just out dated and could do with come renewal. The bathroom was adequate, but little things like the broken shower bar indicated poor maintenance. I like the location, was a bit disappointed with the onsite restaurant/bar. There should have been a more varied menu given guest's various food restrictions and allergies.

Stayed here 2 nights while getting settled in Philadelphia. Staff was nice, room was clean and comfortable. The gym was pretty basic (fiancé said dumbbell rack only goes up to 50s, no bars/kettlebells.) Other than that it was a very pleasant stay!

Alarm went off and the staff handled the evacuation very well

The room was dirty and the docking station for all electronics did not work. The shower curtain was falling off and the water pressure was slightly better than a trickle.

Stayed there for a business trip. Excellent stay. Rooms were clean. It was close to the university of penn. There were plenty of restaurants around.

Dirty room, hair in bathtub, poor customer service.

simple, great pho next door. Didn't blow me away at all given the price. Not very close to anything fun to do after getting in after a late flight.

Everything about this hotel was great except that room service is provided by a local cafe and arrived in plastic takeaway containers. The food was ok but I was expecting a meal with real plates etc. Not what I expected.

Hotel staff was very friendly and courteous. Good location for stores and restaurants

No electricity for hours!! Could not get the refund offered because the room was booked through a third party and not directly with them.

Stayed here to take the USMLE Step 2 CS exam. It's about a 5 min walk from the testing center. Unfortunately, the power and water went out overnight but the hotel did refund all guests for what they paid for the night's stay.

Location was good! A quick can ride downtown or a shirt walk to local restaurants/bars. Parking was a little pricey. Room was comfortable and clean. Front desk staff was friendly

Nice staff nothing to complain about, the room was nice and bathroom.

I stayed in this hotel for a conference. Good proximity to UPenn and overall a very clean, nice hotel. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance too.

The bathroom was tiny. You could not put anything anywhere to get ready in there including the tooth brushes. I dried my hair out in the room. Beds were comfortable

The staff was friendly, the rooms clean, beds comfy but the best was the convenience to Drexel and Penn. I cam up for women's basketball and was delighted at how I could walk to the university. there are lots of restaurant options being so close to two major universities. i usually stay in center city near shopping, but the parking is so stressful. I will always stay here.

The big plus for this hotel is its site. The staff was friendly.

Clean, comfy, close to where I needed to be. Nice gym for a chain hotel.

the room was good, but the window was leaking, rain came from above , and cold air was coming everywhere out of it. the bed sheets were not clean. the WiFi was slow like a turtle, and sometimes got disconnected. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

This a great value for your money choice if you want to come to visit U Penn! Rooms with king bed size are very comfortable, staying at a Club floor room is worth the money, as both breakfast and happy hour drinks are a great value add.
