The room that was confirmed was not the one we got. Upon arrival they said the river view room was not available. They comped our breakfast for our entire stay, and gave us another room with the view to the parking lot and construction site. We had issues with the room, it smelled like smoke/pot. The air conditioning was not working properly. The bathroom tub tiles below rails were not clean, the blow dryer was dirty and sticky. The WiFi was not accepting our reservation name. We complained and received apologies, they took care of the air conditioning. The staff was 50/50, front desk was apologetic and friendly, while coffee shop attendant and some of the wait staff and specifically one bartender had an indifferent and “can’t be bothered”approach to work. We didn’t stay the last night due to the treatment of the bartender at bar. After we had 2 drinks a piece, when closing our tab, the bartender stated our card had been declined. Instead of trying it again or ask for another card, he questioned where was I from? I responded from Philadelphia and what does that have to do with my card approval? He responded, are you a citizen of the US or European. I responded US and I obtained management, they comped our daily parking. Night management apologized for the bartenders questioning and stated the day manager would contact me the next day. I’m still waiting. I have never given a 1 star review until today, We tolerated some things but that was the last straw. Pictures below.
