Comfortable, well equipped, nicely decorated

My husband and I enjoyed our weekend stay at this comfortable and well equipped house. We enjoyed catching the ocean breezes on the back porch.

Adorable cottage

Traveled with my elderly parents for a week long get away. The cottage is adorably decorated and had everything we needed from kitchen supplies to extra linens, etc. It is a short 5 block walk to the beach and in a very quiet neighborhood. When I needed to communicate with the host they were very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Galveston getaway

This was our second year in a row at this beautiful and charming cottage. So close to the beach. Easy to walk to wonderful locations. So very clean and maintained. Communication was easy and fast on reply. We will be back again for sure! Don't pass up given the opportunity to stay!

Wonderful Stay on 10th and K!

Beautiful home. A lot of character in this charming home. Well equiped. Near beaches, restaurants nearby, nice neighborhood. Love the private back yard and huge porch. We have a great time staying here!

Perfect house close to beach!

The house exceeded our expectations. It truly felt like a home. It was comfortable, spacious and beautiful. The house is in a great location. Easy drive to food, shopping and the beach. You can hear the water sitting on the back porch! Neighborhood was peaceful. We felt safe. We parked on the street in front of the house and had no problems at all. The owners were very communicative and kind. We would definitely stay at this location again!!

Wonderful Oasis

This beautiful home felt like our private little get away. It had everything we needed and things we didn't even know we wanted. Comfortable beds and furniture. All kitchen supplies you could imagine including dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, coffee pot and Keurig. Park-like feel to the front and back yard with all the trees and greenery. We spent hours on the front and back porches, visiting and watching the birds and squirrels. The seawall was very near (1 1/2 blocks), making walks to the beach an ease. And Murdock's was visible/walkable. There were 2 weather events while we were in Galveston, but we barely heard them from inside the quiet safety of the home. Lovely remodeled older home with all the modern conveniences, would highly recommend a stay here. We are older, retired and the door lock/app was not an issue, don't let other comments intimidate you.

Cute. Great location

Such a cute house! We were very comfortable. The location was walking distance to the beach and that was why we visited! The front porch was our favorite hangout! They should take the fire pit out of description or get a new one. It was buried in the weeds, broken apart and unusable. The barbecue had not been cleaned ever and it too was unusable and there was no gas in the tank. The back porch would have been wonderful to hangout on, but the cushions were dirty and soaked from the sprinkler. All in all, we made it work.

Great location

Lovely cottage that is close to the beach. The neighborhood is quiet. The cottage has a nice back porch. The owners put it a lot of work on the house and I'm glad they included historical information on the property. It was perfect for our stay.

Girls' Weekend

The charm of this cottage gave a historical feel of Galveston with a modern day touch. It was beautifully decorated and in a great location for shopping, restaurants, and beach attractions. Guests are required to download an app to lock/unlock the door through their personal mobile phone. There were also some special directions to follow along with using the app which we found challenging. This could be extremely difficult for non-technical or senior-aged renters.

Great Locatoin

The location of this house is excellent. It is far enough from the tourist centers to remain quiet while remaining accessible to all the amenities. There is a large grocery store within a 3-minute drive, plenty of restaurants around, and the beach is a 5-8 minute walk. This is a perfect size house for four adults who want to hang out together.

Relaxing

Our stay was mostly great. It is a cute little house that is located close to most of the touristy places. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. We decided we wanted not such busy beaches but that was just a ferry ride away, and you could park right on the beach. Overall, it was a mostly relaxing stay.

Space to relax with friends

We enjoyed both the front and back porches as we visited while enjoying the fresh air. The kitchen was adequately stocked and the accommodations were very nice. Since we flew, we didn't bring as many things with us as if we had driven. Consequently, we needed to buy some supplies as listed in the welcome book, such as paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, dishwasher detergent. It was easy enough to purchase them ... but supplying our own is different than other VRBO experiences we have had. It was a lovely home and we would recommend it to others!
