It smelled good when I entered the hotel. Room was clean except that the bathroom had mold around the shower caulking and I had to have room service come in an clean it up. They had a 'hookless' shower curtain but there wasn't a shower liner so initially a lot of water ended up on the floor. Reported it but nothing was done. The bathroom sink was a bit back up and asked maintenance to fix but not much changed after they left. All in all the stay was good except for the issue listed.

The inside of the hotel is beautiful. I was surprised at how quiet it was on the inside being right next to the freeway. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only negative was that the shower handle was broken when we arrived and we couldn't turn on the shower water at first.

Friendly and prompt service.

Odd location, front desk staff was just ok. Building is older than expected.

Close to restaurants and about a 12 min walk to beach. Hotel was ok. The beds did not look polished or tucked in tight but room was clean despite the hotel smell. Nice staff. Hot breakfast with many options.

The hotel was close to where I needed to be

Clean rooms, close to restaurants

Our room was spacious and very clean. The location is absolutely PERFECT. A park, brewery, and multiple restaurants are all within a short walk, as is the beach! The pool was closed "due to Covid" and the breakfast was laughably awful--worse than what my kids gets from her public school cafeteria. I know there are still various restrictions due to Covid, but it seemed like the pool should be open by now and if they can't serve a decent breakfast they should just not, until they can again. But overall, an easy and pleasant stay, and we'd stay here again.

The place has gotten a major refit. The pool area is a full construction zone at this writing so no sunbathing. My gripe is that terrible packet of gross creamer for you room coffee maker. This place is way to nice now for that ghetto motel option.

Close to downtown and the beach

It is doing some remodeling.

The remodel made it even nicer than it already was.

It is far from the picture. Everything is crapy. Very inconvenience. The layout is weird: seating on the table with blowing from the AC. The carpet is smelly and looks old. The bathroom is leaking. The plus thing is big room.

I went to this hotel already knowing that it was under construction, so wasn't surprised to find that the pool and breakfast (buffet) were closed. They have a grab and go breakfast which is just a bunch of stuff in a bag. The man handing out the coffee and bags gave phenomenal service and was very friendly. The service was terrible here for the most part though. Dirty coffee maker (not replaced until I brought it downstairs), phone broken, housekeeping didn't come daily as requested. Water turned off for an hour or so midday, but they said they tried to call us to notify us on our broken phone so we were caught off guard. It will likely be very nice once renovations are finished, but the service and management needs a major renovation. If you ask for something or a service, you should not have to wait hours or keep going downstairs to make sure it gets done. Management has no sense of urgency to make sure your stay is comfortable. If you want super close proximity to stuff and clean rooms then this is a good hotel to stay at, but just expect crappy service.

Location is great
