When we went to check in at 3pm (check in time) we were told there were no rooms with King beds available - this is something we requested when we booked via orbitz. We are a couple and planned on sharing a big king bed on our vacation. We were disappointed but ready to change and relax after our car ride there so we took the room with the queen size beds. When you purchase a type of room it should be the type of room you get. I wish we would have been given a king.

Love the new decor and layout, staff were also very friendly and accommodating

Comfortable quiet place to stay, beach access great place.

Great hotel, right across from the beach. I love this place quiet and clean. it has its own parking lot. there is a few food options in the area and it is not to far off of the highway.

The rooms were exceptionally clean, and I was super comfortable. The hot tub was great! The food at the restaurant wasn’t the greatest, but other than that I will definitely stay here again if I ever head back this way. Great hotel overall!

Fabulous remodel. Incredible employees. Every need it was taken care of.

Great location, easy parking. However, we were gone all day on Saturday (9AM-6PM), by the time we returned to hotel, the housekeeping had still not come by.

The remodel is very nice , modern efficient, clean and practical Love the bathroom fixtures

Nice hotel, unfortunately under construction and hard to rate.. had to use side doors to go to lobby, leave, breakfast, etc. Was charged to park my car even though the gates were up! I feel parking should have been free to compensate the inconvenience of construction work.

This was rated a 4 plus stars and we were not told about the construction Staff works hard, is pleasant. However, if I'd known the construction was this extensive, I would've stayed someplace else. The exercise room, the kitchen were not. . They said construction will be complete by November. I don't think so. Shame on you and Marriott. John D.

Hotel about to go threw a renovation. Could hear footsteps and running late evening and early morning as kids ran down the hallways. Showers had good hot water but controls were hard to work. Good proximity to the beach

It's a nice facility in a great location, it's just aging and needs renovation (again). For the price I expected a nicer stay but all in all it was an ok experience. The rooms weren't super clean but the linens were fresh. The beds were ok, nothing to write home about. Not too impressed.

We had a great stay! Very kid friendly and within walking distance to the beach and the Ventura Pier

Unfortunately we stayed at the hotel on the evening of a big wedding reception . Our room was just above the ballroom. It was very loud and we couldn't sleep. Unfortunately the reception didn't end until midnight . They couldn't move us because the hotel was completely full. They offered us free breakfast the next morning . I guess maybe they shouldn't of opened the rooms for guests if it was going to be so loud . Not a very pleasant stay. The hotel common areas ,elevator ,hall floors as well as the room was not very clean and pretty outdated. We are recent Marriott Rewards customers so this was doubly disappointing .

Very nicely appointed with a walk to beach location. Great pool and convenient modern laundry facilities.

Nice looking hotel, lobby was beautiful. Hotel was way too noisy this weekend. Walls are very thin and staff could have accommodated guests better with noise complaints.

my bathroom seemed like an apartment bathroom at best. The rooms need major renovations in my eyes, especially for 200$ a night. And free wifi is a must for every hotel guest, but not here. Self parking is $14 and valet is $16, major head scratcher.
