Whitecaps was clean and quiet. Many dining restaurants that are walkable. However, the temperature of the shower water never exceed tepid. A small microwave could help in heating up water for coffee and tea or heating or reheating for leftovers or meals.

The staff was very kind. The room was clean and comfortable. The motel is undergoing renovation so the exterior isn't at all perfect, but the stay was wonderful for what we needed. And the price was right. We will be staying again...probably soon.

I checked in just after 3pm, it took almost 15 mins to check in. I was given room 201 right next to the main road, even though there was only a few guests staying at the motel. I then found an additional charge of $88 on my card, which was immediately refunded. This was on top of the $100 for additional charges, which I hope is also removed. The room is definitely not sound proof as heard traffic all night…

Older hotel that is being fixed up. We picked it because of it is well situated geographically for our Ventura trip. I would have no problem staying there again.
