As a Platinum for Life Elite member and as well an owner of 5 Marriott time shares we checked in and were given wristbands to ride the shuttle. I told Ben don't bother because nobody has ever checked us for the past few years. He said they were going to be checking. I can personally say that on the 12 trips minimum we were checked maybe 5 times. Jack never checked us once, watched Rose check a few on the large bus but not one after that and so on for the rest. Tony checked the most but not all. Our stay and room was great but every year our maintenance fees go up. If your going to have a rule enforce it or quit it and stop wasting money on new bands every year.
I've stayed at this property at the birch last year. I agree with the others. The buildings are dated and by no means at marriot status. That being said. You can stay cheaply at birch. And really you're there for the skiing not the hotel room.
Scored this property at the last minute on an Interval International re-trade, and what a great decision it was! We were in a 2 bedroom villa in the Evergreen building, which was perfect for our needs. I read about the history of the property and according to what I read, the Evergreen building was actually built by Marriott developers, hence it has that Marriott feeling in terms of outside and inside features. But the whole property experience was top notch. Check in and check out were a breeze, helpful and friendly front desk staff at all times, answered our questions cheerfully and politely. Shuttle bus drivers to and from the property were also helpful and friendly. The pool/hot tub areas were clean and well tended, we also used the business services room computer and the gym is well kept in the clubhouse building as well. Our villa was spotlessly clean, the bath products had a lovely fragrance, loved the jetted tub in the master bathroom. The bed and bedding were really comfy, which is a plus as sometimes I have trouble sleeping when away from home. We didn't try any of the activities but were happy to see there were things to do every day throughout the week on site, an added plus for guests staying at the property. The whole experience, from start to finish, was really great and we are very satisfied, and hope to get another chance to stay again.
Marriott Streamside Evergreen was perfect for our stay in Vail. The shuttle bus was always available and prompt day and night. Our room was large with everything we needed with a great view. A lot of convenient parking. The hot tub and steam room were a great way to end a day of winter activities.
These condominiums are large, very well appointed, have every conceivable amenity and, yes, the view is fantastic. If you are in Vail, you love the mountains and this is a wonderful jumping off point to travel the Rockies. If you don't feel like traveling, just sit at the living room windows and watch the "mountains go by."
We booked this place with a timeshare and loved the room! The rooms are clean and large, we had a kitchen, living room, dining room, bedroom, loft and 3 baths. There's a great creek down below. The hot tubs are great and there's an indoor/outdoor pool. A great place for couples, families, or friends. Lots of activities on site and a short drive to downtown vail ski area. A must visit!
Marriott's StreamSide Evergreen at Vail is a nice property but was less than expected compared to other Marriott properties where we have stayed. I'm really not complaining because we a large two bedroom villa, but there were issues with the StreamSide. The bathroom wall had a noticeable knock in it that needed retouching and the bathroom door had several large scratches near the bottom. Also, if you stay there call ahead to ask for a room on the parking lot side. While you miss the views you also miss the interstate noise. Just FYI. Otherwise the location is great. We did a considerable amount of hiking and were situated near many trails. The resort has a shuttle that will take you to downtown Vail and to the grocery store. The grocery stores in requires you bring your own bags or pay for paper bags at 10 cents each. The resort will also allow you to borrow bags for grocery shopping. The resort has a nice indoor/outdoor pool, sauna, steam room, and fitness center. The staff is very helpful and courteous. Other than minor issues with the room we had a nice stay with an amazingly beautiful week.
As longtime Marriott timeshare owners, we have enjoyed properties in Hawaii, Hilton Head, Williamsburg, Boston and Spain. While Vail is one of the most spectacular settings, Streamside has some serious deficits. The property is a bit tired, quite a ways from Vail Village and suffers from freeway noise. We made the best of it and found a wonderful secluded happy hour spot that was actually on the side of the stream. But we felt this was the first Marriott property that was less than first class. It was still enjoyable, just not up to the Marriott standards we are used to. We checked out the Breckenridge property and will probably tray that one the next time we're in Colorado.
This is an older location but we enjoyed it and it was a bit rustic but really liked the 1-bedroom with a loft model on the 3rd floor. We were staying with friends that have a Marriott timeshare. Definitely not the most luxurious Marriott but again we loved the location and the somewhat rustic design. The front desk individual at check in for the timeshare had zero personality but they were efficient.
Clean, friendly staff, bed and linens are impeccable. We are owners in SC and NC and did an exchange - this is as lovely as our home Marriotts Convenient (car or shuttle) to downtown shopping and poking - looking for some warm sweatshirt this morning Resort is truly located to maximize the views. We face west -
