Short staffed. Restaurant is good. Overall condition is dilapidated. ...
Will stay there again. Staff was friendly and helpful, food was good, good location.
Lovely hotel near all the attractions . Very clean and modern
Nice hotel a little away from the town center. There is a trolley stop across the street. A shuttle is available to the trolley hub.
This is everything you'd expect in a Doubletree! Great cookies of course! The staff was friendly and helpful. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!
The hotel was great. The staff was very polite and eager to assist. It had a full exercise-room, with large mirrors and state of the art equipment. The hotel however, is away from the historical area. During the day, it is difficult to find parking places. But after 5 pm you can park any place. During the day trips we depended on the trolleybus rides.
Loud air conditioner woke us up all night, bed hard and lumpy, bathroom floor sticky, I would not take off shoes, I felt I needed to put a towel down on the tub floor before I would step in. Swimming pool, while people were in it, looked cloudy and dirty. But then the sign at the entrance should have said it all....pre-renovation. Trust me renovations should have been a few years back.
Not Luxurios but had comfy bed and pillows. Great location, accross the street from Mission De Dios, very close to Visitor Center and maybe a mile from the Fort Castillo San Marco and sorrounding shopping and restaurant areas. However, don't be fooled by hotel description of "provides a shuttle to downtown historic district sightseeing" because it doesn't! The hotel only calls a shuttle company to pick you up and you have to pay the extra charges ($23 per adult) to that company. The description also mentions that "Guests relax in the Jacuzzi" but there is no a Jacuzzi, it's actually full of sand. I think their making some renovatiovations...I hope. Bathroom needs renovation but overall very satisfied with hotel and friendly staff services.
I thought highly of the staff. The area near hotel is priceless out front a huge Cross a hundred feet high. near all shops. I noticed after standing in water in the shower drain needs cleaning. As you close your door to your room the windows rattled and you can hear the doors adjacent rattle your windows. The owners are trying to up grade.
Location is great, what saved this hotel is the above average staff, friendly and helpful, we had breakfast in the restaurant on site and it was also above average.
This was located within easy walking distance of all the historic sites. I do feel they need to hurry with the renovations they are planning because the hotel really needs it. For the price, a microwave and mini-fridge would've been a good amenity. I will stay again but only if they have completely renovated.
Got a bit confused because between the time I booked the hotel and when I rode up there the hotel went from Ramada Inn to San Marco Inn! The room was very clean, the staff was very nice. Even the Janitors were very polite, very cool. The AC blew cold air, and the rugs and sheets were clean. The bathroom was showing its age, but it was clean, and everything worked, can't really complain. The pool was very clean, kinda weird that the hot tub was filled with cement, but whatever. I enjoyed my stay, and will definitely look at them again next year. :)
The hotel definitely needs some upgrades and the rooms could use extra cleaning of the bathrooms but the beds were comfortable and the location was good. We brought our golden retriever and she was happy with lots of space to walk at the Mission de Nombre Dios across the street. The historical Center of St. Augustine is about .75 miles away so it makes for a nice walk and there are a few restaurants withing close walking distance.
girl at front desk very rude. nothing at the hotel worked. bad choice
great location ... need to update a little.....floors should be steam cleaned.....
Very Clean and Friendly staff. Very close to all the good eaten joints
It was an average hotel. Nothing special, but the location was great. Its less than a quarter of a mile from all the historic sites so we walked every where, which is great with these gas prices. Only complaint was the shower. Even when the knobs aren't touched, the water temp changes constantly and drastically. Over all worth the value.
I got to the hotel, checked in pretty easily, Went to my room, and of course, first issue was trying to get the door open. The key cards worked but you had to time opening the door just right or you had to redo the key swip.. Then you get into the room and it looked good.. The power from the outlets was a little weird like they were super old and needed to be upgraded.. The cable was horrible.. Only had like 4 channels that came in clear, the other 14 available channels were all static.. as for the pool, very nice, but the jacuzzi was closed due to remodel.. No word on that.. I went downstairs around 10pm and the lounge was closed, even though it says 1am.. So, I went to Denny. Its located on the west end of the hotel on the other lot of hotels.. I was happy with the location, easy to find everything but the noise from another room was the only thing that kept me up that night.. The beds were comfortable and there was amenities available if needed.. If I had to stay here again, I would.. Just lower the price of the hotel. It wasnt worth $85 plus tax.. may $50.. No fridge, No microwave, just a room to sleep at..
we were disappointed in the poor quality that we found. What we experienced is not what we read in the online hotel description.
It was ok and a good deal for the price I got from Orbize
