After we'd been here a few days, my husband had to be transported by ambulance to a hospital. Since his situation was up in the air, this Wyndham worked with us to extend our original reservation of one week and to get our ownership points transferred. The staff and manager showed their concern and helped us through this difficult time. My husband is fine now...in fact I think Verde Valley Medical Center saved his life.
This was our first time traveling to Sedona and first time traveling with our 6 month old. We were specifically looking for a place with a kitchenette, one bedroom suite, and a pool. We found a great deal on Agoda and booked for 5 nights. The location was perfect. Just off the main street and across from Safeway. It was walking distance to one of the best Italian restaurants, Dahl & Di Luca. The room was just what we needed, large enough space to have baby lie on the floor, we were able to cook breakfast and dinner, and had a large fridge for beers and leftovers. The one bedroom suite allowed us to put baby down (in the bedroom and clos the door) but still enjoy some wine and TV in the other room. There are multiple BBq's around the property, both charcoal and propane powered which are free to use. We enjoyed some fresh Shish-kababs after days of hiking. The only down fall was that we found the pool to be a little cool, too much for baby so she didnt get to enjoy it. Wife and I did enjoy the hot tub though (Pool and hot tub are both opened 24 hrs a day!) and our baby monitor could reach the hot tub so we did manage to sneak out and chill during nap time. The resort is also close to Airport road which was great if you need some postcard views and pictures of Sedona. I believe it took me 7 minutes from the Wyndham to Airport vista. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to friends or anyone looking to have a basecamp for a stay in Sedona.
Our condo was very nice however the ice maker did not work and the magnetic keys did not work which was a SIGNIFICANT inconvenience when returning after dark with registration area quite a distance from our room. After getting a new key it still did not work the next a.m. (we did not place our keys near a cell phone which can sometimes cause them not to work). It was a good location within walking distance to eating/shopping.
Comfortable beds, nice clean and large condo. The location is great, about 5 min from downtown; but right across the street from shopping and restaurants. Very easy to get to the Red Rocks State Park etc. Beautiful views!
This has tuned into staying in a slum. See pictures. Staff are not responsive. The first unit 1313 had enamel gone from tub grab bar needing replaced, mold under lip of toilet, dental floss from previous guest on bathroom floor. Next unit 1113 bug on ice trays, metal in bath tub mold behind toilet. Very little mad right with us. Check in was at 2, hot in at 4:30, plus wrong rooms staff disoriented and no communication. Stay away if you want a healthy relaxing vacation. I have tolerance but this threw me over the edge.
Sedona is a gorgeous place to spend time hiking and admiring the natural beauty of the Southwest. As new members of Club Wyndham, we chose this location for our first stay as "owners". The condos at this site are comfortable, but I wouldn't describe them as "upscale"...more similar to a 3-star hotel. A few nice features, but also some cheap elements. Since we were there in December, we didn't take advantage of some of the warm-weather amenities like the pool and the hot tub, but really, the focus of our stay was to be outside in SEDONA, not spend a lot of time at the condo complex. The location is convenient for access to anything you'd want to do in the area, with several good restaurants and supermarkets within a mile, and a short drive to anything else in town. The customer service team on site was terrific, very nice and helpful. One tip I would offer to future visitors is that you should avoid the northwestern-most units closest to Highway 89A. There is a lumber yard between Wyndham and the highway which starts making noise at 7:00am, so if you are in one of those units, you will probably hear the beeping and thumping of forklifts loading the trucks. Unfortunate, unless you are already an early riser.
Service staff was very friendly. Close to all the major attractions. Clean rooms. Would stay here again. FYI no onsite restaurants but you are close to the main drag with tons of options. We booked it late but feel we got lucky.
Spent three nights at the Wyndham Resort. We had a one bedroom disabled room of which we did not ask for nor were we told even when we arrived. The mini kitchen was definitely mini. We made coffee but did not attempt preparing any meals. The pool and jacuzzi were very nice and well kept. The gym was small but did have some decent equipment. We enjoyed the pool room as well but found there was not alot to do with the kids. The location is good with restaurants, a Safeway, Starbucks, and theatre nearby.
First time here but not the last. Our 1 bedroom was a good size unit with large bedroom & king size bed. Flat screen TV in living and bed rooms. Full size fridge with 4 burner small stove w?oven, not the 2 burner countertops. Stacking washer/dryer in room. Blender, microwave and good selection of kitchen supplies. Pool and hot tub at main building. We like to do most of our meals in the suite, so kitchen is important to us. No room service but not an issue for us. Also, no "resort fees" during our stay. Usually see at least a $10/day fee added on most resorts. They do have a few things going on. We got there at 5 on a Saturday and missed the wine and cheese/ chocolate hour. Next day they had a light breakfast with agents from area activities. Jeep rides, helicopter, etc. Gave away buy one get one 1/2 off tickets during a draw. Movie night and ice cream night. Not sure if this is year round or it changes. If you like to hike (we do), this is the area to be. Trails a 5 minute walk or others a short drive. If you want to hike , Elyse is your go to person. She is the Activities Manager and has hiked most of the trails and has binders at the front desk with details and extra maps to take. Elyse was fantastic at giving us advice on trails and great at being an ambassador for the resort. Look forward to seeing her next time. Other staff were friendly and helpful. Only things we would have liked to see are, bigger sink in room and an extra lounge chair. We had only a sofa. Would also be nice to see electric car charging station(s), too. We have 2 electric cars and see many other places have chargers. Something they should consider. Thanks for a great stay.
Good location west of the most congested area of West Sedona but still near restaurants, coffee shops, grocery and drug stores, and beautiful views. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and rooms were good. I believe they plan some refurbishing in late 2018 and it is needed for the bathrooms, floor tiles and such. But the furnishings, bedding, kitchen have all been updated not too long ago so the room was comfortable and certainly fine. We had a one bedroom deluxe with a balcony. Very roomy for just the two of us. A short walk to the pool and hot tub, activity center, and even Pisa Lisa wasn't too far to walk as long as you weren't carrying much back with you. The views from our second floor room (no elevators) were beautiful over the building across from us, no not unobstructed but we didn't care. All in all, a great place to hang our hat while golfing, shopping, dining, and sightseeing in Sedona and surrounding areas.
