Wyndham Sedona3.0 out of 5.0

Sedona is a gorgeous place to spend time hiking and admiring the natural beauty of the Southwest. As new members of Club Wyndham, we chose this location for our first stay as "owners". The condos at this site are comfortable, but I wouldn't describe them as "upscale"...more similar to a 3-star hotel. A few nice features, but also some cheap elements. Since we were there in December, we didn't take advantage of some of the warm-weather amenities like the pool and the hot tub, but really, the focus of our stay was to be outside in SEDONA, not spend a lot of time at the condo complex. The location is convenient for access to anything you'd want to do in the area, with several good restaurants and supermarkets within a mile, and a short drive to anything else in town. The customer service team on site was terrific, very nice and helpful. One tip I would offer to future visitors is that you should avoid the northwestern-most units closest to Highway 89A. There is a lumber yard between Wyndham and the highway which starts making noise at 7:00am, so if you are in one of those units, you will probably hear the beeping and thumping of forklifts loading the trucks. Unfortunate, unless you are already an early riser.
Service staff was very friendly. Close to all the major attractions. Clean rooms. Would stay here again. FYI no onsite restaurants but you are close to the main drag with tons of options. We booked it late but feel we got lucky.
Spent three nights at the Wyndham Resort. We had a one bedroom disabled room of which we did not ask for nor were we told even when we arrived. The mini kitchen was definitely mini. We made coffee but did not attempt preparing any meals. The pool and jacuzzi were very nice and well kept. The gym was small but did have some decent equipment. We enjoyed the pool room as well but found there was not alot to do with the kids. The location is good with restaurants, a Safeway, Starbucks, and theatre nearby.
First time here but not the last. Our 1 bedroom was a good size unit with large bedroom & king size bed. Flat screen TV in living and bed rooms. Full size fridge with 4 burner small stove w?oven, not the 2 burner countertops. Stacking washer/dryer in room. Blender, microwave and good selection of kitchen supplies. Pool and hot tub at main building. We like to do most of our meals in the suite, so kitchen is important to us. No room service but not an issue for us. Also, no "resort fees" during our stay. Usually see at least a $10/day fee added on most resorts. They do have a few things going on. We got there at 5 on a Saturday and missed the wine and cheese/ chocolate hour. Next day they had a light breakfast with agents from area activities. Jeep rides, helicopter, etc. Gave away buy one get one 1/2 off tickets during a draw. Movie night and ice cream night. Not sure if this is year round or it changes. If you like to hike (we do), this is the area to be. Trails a 5 minute walk or others a short drive. If you want to hike , Elyse is your go to person. She is the Activities Manager and has hiked most of the trails and has binders at the front desk with details and extra maps to take. Elyse was fantastic at giving us advice on trails and great at being an ambassador for the resort. Look forward to seeing her next time. Other staff were friendly and helpful. Only things we would have liked to see are, bigger sink in room and an extra lounge chair. We had only a sofa. Would also be nice to see electric car charging station(s), too. We have 2 electric cars and see many other places have chargers. Something they should consider. Thanks for a great stay.
Good location west of the most congested area of West Sedona but still near restaurants, coffee shops, grocery and drug stores, and beautiful views. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and rooms were good. I believe they plan some refurbishing in late 2018 and it is needed for the bathrooms, floor tiles and such. But the furnishings, bedding, kitchen have all been updated not too long ago so the room was comfortable and certainly fine. We had a one bedroom deluxe with a balcony. Very roomy for just the two of us. A short walk to the pool and hot tub, activity center, and even Pisa Lisa wasn't too far to walk as long as you weren't carrying much back with you. The views from our second floor room (no elevators) were beautiful over the building across from us, no not unobstructed but we didn't care. All in all, a great place to hang our hat while golfing, shopping, dining, and sightseeing in Sedona and surrounding areas.
Easy to get to using gps Checkin after 10pm is just Meetup with a security guard and checkin in next day with new room keys . The area is dead into the city so lots of healthy restaurants and food and shopping. There is a Safeway right across the street. The resort itself isn’t super gorgeous it’s more like apartments with a view of the Sedona red rock which is perfectly fine. You want restaurants nearby since they don’t provide food at the resort so location is great here. Environment: Sedona is more of a natural sight with scenic views and hikes and tours with more of a hippee style. For a nice hike do the West Fork oak creek canyon trail which costs $10 for car whole day, need water shoes or walking stick to not fall in river as you cross it several times Rooms are very nice and modern with space to move around. Too units required stairs so if you have Little’s or a disability make sure to ask for a bottom floor. Room has a full kitchen with seating. Nice living room space to watch tv and a balcony to enjoy outside. I would clean your own utensils and cups it didn’t look clean to me so. We had some issues with key cards but they were nice and came to fix it and we drove there once to fix it. It was a mechanical error so I won’t give less of a star for that. Only thing they did not do was clean bathrooms thoroughly. Our shower floor was dirty with dirt on floor and the shower heads or bathtub head has clear signs of calcium or mold on it. I requested to have shower floor cleaned while we were out and they never did which that is why not a five star. Free -WiFi: works really well and good quality -parking -complimentary one set of coffee decaf and regular with cream salt and pepper with -1 oz shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, and mouth wash for toiletries Presentation: this was the best place to have an owner update presentation! We didn’t have to sign a waiver or anything and not pushy on us just no free food etc besides some coffee or tea
After traveling cross country for nearly two weeks we checked into the Wyndham Sedona for 3 nights. We have a 1 bedroom, which is nicely updated, very clean with all the amenities I could wish for—including a jacuzzi tub. The pool and hot tub have just been updated. I enjoy the bingo, movies, ice cream social, fall festival. Sedona has many very good restaurants, so if you like to go out to eat, you will not be disappointed.
The resort is very nice and the employees are very friendly however our room was just okay. Not much of a view and the master bathroom was not as clean as it could have been. We still had a good time and the location of the resort is excellent. Many daily activities.
This is simply a most friendly, comfortable and fantastic place to stay. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location is very close to town, resturants hiking and most anything. The pool area was most pleasant. Our room was a one bedroom, but it was excellent! The bed was super comfortable. The room was well appointed. Staff helped arrange some activities and gave us great advise. We are looking forward to coming back to Sedona and will definitely try to stay here.
We stayed here in the King Suite and were very impressed with the rooms and the hotel. The staff were amazing especially Ms. Angela who went out of her way to ensure we could book the 'stargazing' experience which was the highlight of our stay. Highly recommended - we had the chance to see Saturn and it's rings through a telescope. The rooms had everything that we needed including a washing machine and dryer. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The reason why I didn't give a 5 star review was because the bathroom wasn't entirely clean and had hairs from the previous occupants in the shower. Other than this which can be remedied easily this was a good stay and most definitely will be back for a future stay.
