The room was very clean and well supplied.
TV cable box didn’t work until we were told to reset it due to a recent system glitch. Shouldn’t staff do this? Key card system is old and frustrating - had to have cards reprogrammed several times. Refrigerator freezer needed defrosting as nothing would fit in it. Phone charger near bed inoperable. I love Holiday Inn Express but not this one Kitchen shuts down at 9:45. Good luck to all
The magnetic key cards are extremely likely to be demagnetized. Every time we returned to the hotel we had to have our room cards reprogrammed. Even had to have the manager come unlock the door at one point.
We almost always stay at a Holiday Inn Express or with family when we travel. Thanks for the great services.
When I checked inn, my room was occupied. I used my card key and was confronted by a man in his underwear inside. I was there for days. Everyday I had to get my car key reprogrammed. For some reason they thought I was only there one day each time even though I explained to them I was there for 4 days and it was already paid for. Then the manager and the front desk person blamed me for the card key failing. They said I put it on something metal or too close to my phone. I have been using these card keys for decades and have never had problems
Nice place to stay in a convenient location. Great customer service!
Nice staff, very friendly. Has been updated, but not super well. Good location for easy drive into historic Savannah.
I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express but was not notified ahead of time that it was in the middle of a huge renovation. The fumes from paint, plaster, and (I think) wallpaper glue were overwhelming and not just relegated to the lobby but were on every floor. About half way through the night the fumes gave me a splitting headache that didn’t go away until I had been away from the hotel for two hours. The room looked as if it had been briefly occupied- a few coins on the floor, paper in the trash, and a hand towel used in bathroom. The only redeeming quality to my stay was the pleasant staff. I want my money back.
We almost always stay at this hotel when we go to Savannah. The room is always nice and so is staff.
rude front desk person, I asked for a receipt and it was a big hassle. Also no thank you or smiles. it was a lady working on 4/27 around 8am, it was not the manager lady, she was nice and friendly.
Second stay at this particular hotel. Love the convenience to shopping and other locations. Bed was very comfortable!
Descent rooms, plenty of space, toilet wasn't really clean upon arrival. Breakfast was just fine. The linen was clean.
I stayed with my family at the end of February 2015. Gentle welcome, nice and clean room. Hotel under renovation, we had not big choises for breakfast served in a really small area. Anyway, I can recommend this hotel to friend. It's really close to Savannah river walking and it's cheap enough.
Overall good stay. The hotel experienced a maintenance issue that day earlier that complicated check-ins, but the staff was extremely courteous as the tried to accommodate guests during a difficult situation. While all of the the rooms I viewed on line showed a couch or a sitting chair, there were only 2 wooden straight back chairs in the room (along with the beds). If you will be spending significant time in your room, this does not provide a great comfort level. Also, toilet bowl could have been cleaner. Aside from that, the room was very clean.
It was great! Would stay again! The room was just like the pictures! The mall was close too!
We didn't pay too much $110 with tax. Just staying one night before heading to Florida. The room was nice. The bathroom had hairs on the floor and in the tub. We didn't have to breakfast it was just basic cereal, pastries, etc. location was good close to the mall and right around restaurants and not too far 95. I would probably try another hotel in the area before staying again.
Good breakfast, comfortable accommodations, and close proximity to downtown river street.
