DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Savannah Historic District

It was a most noisy hotel I've stayed. Super noisy because of car noise. The hotel should have had double windows.

Staff was awesome, very clean, room was huge, and we got a free drink, free breakfast and cookie upon arrival!

Valet parking only ($27/day) is only "drawback", but since it's only 4 blocks from city hall, walking is best option anyway.

Hotel is wonderful!! Only complaint is the parking fee seems to high.

I loved staying here. The staff was super friendly, the room and view was beautiful, and of course the Double Tree signature cookie is always delicious! It was noisy from traffic, but I actually like that noise. Being able to order breakfast room service instead of having to get dressed before heading down was super awesome, and having a 12pm check-out time was much appreciated. The whole place also smells fantastic! I only had two issues (one minor and the second one a bit more important to me) The first, is that the water smells absolutely awful and should be treated or something. I have no idea how they should fix it, but it's pretty awful! The second (and more important to me issue) , was the menu for room service with regards to dietary concerns (I am a vegetarian). My significant other and I got the late night hunger pains and decided to order room service and he ordered a burger and I decided to get the kids spaghetti because it said in the description that it was a marinara sauce (no where did it say it was a meat sauce or that it was spaghetti bolognese). Since marinara sauce is traditionally a tomato sauce, I didn't think it would be a problem. When we got it though, it had ground meat in it. I felt terrible sending it back, but I wasn't going to eat it, and to make matters worse the kitchen had just closed when we got our food so they couldn't remake it, so I suffered through my hunger pains while slipping in a few of my boyfriends fries... I also felt pretty angry that they didn't feel the need to include that information in the description. I think any type of food service should know that ingredients need to be divulged for people with special or religious dietary restrictions, and food allergies. Again, marinara is a TOMATO SAUCE and I should not have had to assume that it had meat in it. End of rant...

We are longtime frequent visitors to Savannah... We have stayed in many different properties in the historic district. This hotel Exceeded every expectation...

Everyone of the employees was extremely friendly. Made me feel very welcome.

This hotel made our wonderful vacation Memorable!!! Everything about the hotel was great! Great location, very friendly staff, very clean, and loved the free afternoon cocktail in the lobby everyday!

Great place to stay! Clean rooms friendly service. The only draw back is the 25$ to park your vehicle.

Had a wonderful stay! Would stay at this hotel next time I come to savannah.

Great staff, great hotel, great location. I would highly recommend them.

Wonderful stay at this hotel right on the historic part of town. Walking distance from interesting places. The Ghost Tour was informative and spooky, and the ride on the Cruise was awesome. We had a great time. Hotel staff was courteous and helpful.

Selected a king size four poster bed. Hotel has been remodeled and those beds no longer exist in hotel. Should not have been an option, probably would have stayed elsewhere.

The staff was so friendly and accomadating and the chocolate chip cookies are to die for!

upon check in we were informed that construction would be taking place. My wife works weird hours and sleeps in. She was unable to get any sleep. The hotel offered a room at another property but no smoking rooms were available. Outside of this huge inconvenience, everything was great.

The staff, reception, concierge, and valet attendants, were very friendly and helpful. They made good suggestions on what to do when spending only one night in Savannah. We would stay there again. The only reason they are not getting a 5 across the board is that it was under construction, which we were not aware of.

Hotel is under renovation on floors 3-6. Valet parking "only" for $25/nt (not included in room price), but you can park in one of the public parking garages 2 blocks away for about $16.

great hotel, amenities and area.close to everything.

the overall experience is pretty good~good location near downtown and it is very convienent to see everywhere in savannah~the room is clean and the free cookie is tasty and i really like it. i would stay there again if i go to savannah again.

For a double tree I was pretty disappointed. For one, I did not receive my cookie ;) No but on a serious note, they don't have parking except "valet parking" which cost $25.00. Or you had the option of finding a metered parking somewhere around the historic savannah location. Then, I didn't have towels in the room and didn't realize it til after I'd already hopped in the shower. When I brought this up to the staff though, they did wave the valet parking, so the customer service was wonderful. There was a musky smell in the room, which I believe could have been taken care of with a dehumidifier of some sort. But the location? Man the location was fantastic. A few feet from River Street, a few feet from a few extremely fantastic restaurants (check out A.lure!) and right around the corner from some adorable shops!
