The hostess Stephanie at Helios was incredibly personable and seemed to enjoy her job. Our Butler Rodney went above and beyond decorating our room one night for our honeymoon. It was a great surprise to come into. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Food was great. No complaints.

Customer service was very poor our room got water from the ceiling and flooded the floor and with no power for 35 minutes couldn’t call anyone to help the phone was not working and next morning we went to the customer service talk to the manager he said nothing we can do about. I paid extra for the upgrade to our room and I just wanted to return my upgrade money which was not at the extendedo of the room which has water leak and the ceiling falling. The customer service said we don’t care it happens and we have no one to help us the way it should have been done. We had to fight.to get tow days re reimburse. The customer service is very terrible and they not trained properly to help the customers.

Overall pretty good. One of the adult only pools was closed for renovations. The other pool was only open until 7 so no late night swimming. That was kind of a bummer. There are umbrellas by many of the poolside loungers, but not all. There was lots of space that was shaded by the beach. Room was nice. Food was fine. The hibachi a la cart was the best restaurant. Some of the activities were randomly cancelled, like the cooking class. Bartenders were knowledgeable about a lot of different drinks. The bingo is a must! The palladium rewards guy was pushy. He presented it as a welcome breakfast and property tour. We overslept and missed it. That evening another couple told us that it’s a timeshare presentation, so we were glad we missed it. The next day he saw us in the lobby and complained that we never followed up with him and said we were rude. It was a weird interaction.

The property might be old but it’s definitely dirty. I had higher expectations for a 5 star adult only high end resort. We found a live cockroach in the sofa. They left us welcome chocolates which had 100s of ants crawling all over it. I leave my toiletries at the basin and there are small bugs all over it. Some changed sheets has dark dirt marks on it. On the third day, there were no hot water for an entire afternoon. Staff was friendly but response is slow. They have this personal butler service which you can directly WhatsApp for request which I appreciate. However, the response is sparse. We’ve asked for a blanket because the housekeeper took it away during cleaning and didn’t give us one. It took over 2 hours and 5 text to get it and we were waiting for it to go to sleep. You can’t talk to housekeeping directly, it has to go through the butler and when they are not responsive, you don’t get anything. An entire part of the hotel was just closed for renovations. 5 restaurants are not available including a sports bar and the children’s activity room. The food seems great with awesome variety. But I got food poisoning the 6th day so I can’t even give a positive comment for that. And I have been careful with what I eat. I avoided eating anything raw or even have salad because I was worried about the water used to wash the vegetables. I drank only bottled water. But I still got sick. I’ve been to many Mexican resorts and not have an issue with food.

My significant other and I enjoyed our holiday at T.R.S. resort only issue is that are not enough electrical outlets in the room. The hospitality and customer service was truly amazing!!
