The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia

I loved the grand lobby and historic feel of the hotel. I forgot how small the rooms would be. That and the size of the beds are the only thing I'd change.

Love staying in the heart of center city at the Ritz. Staff is excellent above and beyond. Room gets deductions for case goods issues. Knobs pulling off drawer, chipped and scraped bureaus that show the March of time. The sink has a broken faucet that should have been caught. Despite these minor annoyances engineering was super fast to correct and staff was very accommodating and comped breakfast. Starwood is building a W next door and the four seasons is returning in 2018 so Ritz get ready and tidy up the furnishings. But I will stay with you because I love the service

Historic building in the center of everything. First night was blown away by the amazing view from our window of city hall with its incredible architectural details. Train from the airport stops at Surbuban station which is a short walk to the hotel. Very much a fun pleasant place to stay.

My wife and I were visiting our son who was starting school in Philadelphia. First time we stayed at a Ritz-Carlton. This is a beautiful old hotel (originally constructed as a bank), great location in Cental City, easy to catch a cab to different venues. Very comfortable room, had an excellent breakfast there, and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely stay there again.

Classy bar in lobby and elegant room for a reasonable price.

Everything a 5 star hotel is supposed to be! Service was great. Location was great.

Great overall but they need new electronics. Soy docks and tv are old and outdated

great location for shopping, dining, and history. At $50 to park your car I would recommend taking public transportation.

Me and my husband took trip without kids and stayed at this hotel. Would recommended to anyone, we had a blast!! It's close to everything !! Loved it!

Location across from City Hall couldn't be better, near everything. The lobby and cocktail lounge are memorable, staff is wonderful. Our room for three was large and spotless, we were sorry to leave after only 5 days.

This was a great place to stay. We loved to location and were able to walk nearly everywhere. The only disadvantages were, a charge for wifi and a a charge each time you took your car out of valet parking. The staff was great!

Not only a great hotel but every staff member was pleasant and so helpful.

Arrived late due to a late flight. No one at curb check in to help with bags. Check in desk employee unable to access my Marriott account for point credit. Sign at the open lobby bar stated the bar was open till 2am. After carryingy bags to my room, on return to bar, waited ten minutes with no help only to find out even though there were still customers at tables and at the bar at 1:30 am, that the bartender had left for the evening and no one could help me! The front desk sent up a complimentary bottle of wine, that I had to pay for at $ 198.00!!!. I looked up the wine on my wine App to find out it cost $9.98 retail !! The next morning in my bathroom without clothes on, two men opened my door without knocking claiming they were security and that my room wasn't supposed to be occupied! Overall: HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE at a Ritz Hotel ! A shame !

The service is exactly what you would expect- 5 Star. The breakfast bar was delicious and it had everything I wanted. I was very pleased with everything here, especially the great customer service.

beds are clean. Rooms are larger than most hotels. and the entire place smells and is clean.

I expected more, I guess the hotel is too expensive for me. There was: Small fridge (plus) Coffee maker (plus) Chocolates bedside everyday (plus) Expensive tea bags (plus) Beautiful bathroom (plus) Very confortable beds (plus) No microwave (minus) No continental breakfast (minus, very expensive) Had to tell to vacuum carpet (minus) Very small garbage can (had to ask to have it emptied constantly, minus) Had to tell to do the beds (minus) No pool or jackuzzi (minus) Personnel was mostly courtious (one bad apple)

Loved this hotel! Staff was so helpful, nice and friendly! Location was perfect. We walked to a ton of cute restaurants and bars! Plus Rittenhouse square had an awesome art fair!

The hotel was close to my conference (2 blocks) and was was a great "steal". I had a nice view of the city hall from my room. The lobby and the front facade has a "Roman" look with Doric columns lining all walls and the front of the hotel. The staff were excellent and the room, very comfortable. The hotel is what you expect out of a hotel of this name.

Everything about this hotel was beautiful, personal, and special.. Staying with club level status makes it 100% best experience ever!!

Its a Ritz and lives up to the name. The staff was exceptional and extremely accommodating. The building is fantastic and the location is in the heart of the city center. Highly recommend.
