We had no knowledge of this hotel. Rolled the dice and scored! Beautiful room, super comfy bed, great staff, excellent service!

The door bell men didn't help us much, the valet didn't help us with the logadge

Second time we've stayed at Sonesta. Both times the front desk checked us in and out efficiently and professionally and were great. The rooms both times were up-to-date and comfortable. Most recent stay, however, housekeeping didn't clean our room and front desk didn't pick up after 4 attempts to send along towels. The pool door was broken, leaving us all dependent on a very nice man standing nearby to let everyone in. And the Art Bar, each time we visited, was in disarray, with un-bused tables and no waitstaff. This is a really attractive and hip hotel, with so many pluses and positive aspects, especially the staff. I hope they sort out what seems to be a management issue soon, so we'll be able to return.

Stayed here for second time recently. Checking in and out is quick and efficient, the front desk staff and concierge are all professional and friendly and on point. The rooms are comfortable and up-to-date. The location, too, is perfect for a Philadelphia stay. I will say that, this second time around, the Art Bar restaurant was not presentable enough to bring my family in--the tables weren't bused and there were no waitstaff to greet or take our orders. So we just left. Also, housekeeping did not come to clean our room between our first and second nights, even though we were gone the whole day. It took about three times to call the front desk at 9pm to request towels. The pool door was busted, with patrons relying on the kindness of one man who sat near the door to let us in. So it seems like maybe there are some issues to work out, since none of these were issues when I stayed there last summer. I do hope they work on these issues, since it was my hope this would be my go-to hotel when staying in Philly.

Location was desirable. It is near a CVS and Target as well as many stores on the adjacent street. Something must have been wrong with the room thermostat. The AC would not shut off all night long. You could change the channels on the TV very fast, compared to some of the slow cable companies I am used to.

This is a nice hotel in a good location for exploring the city. The onsite parking garage is also nice. Staff were very pleasant. Bar was lively and fun. I'm not a big fan of the modern décor but to each their own. The rooftop pool looked nice but I didn't go in. Unfortunately I got a room right next to the elevators and they were going ding ding all night and I could hear the noise from the elevator shaft. So I didn't sleep much. I'm a Gold Orbiz member and didn't get anything. No upgrade, not free room credit or anything and I was next to elevator so that was disappointing. I'm staying here again in Aug and will ask to not be near elevator.

I was very pleased with this hotel. I has a very polite and supportive staff. Nice location. The pillows on the bed were PERFECT, which made for a great nights sleep.

Convienant location, clean and comfortable room.

The room was tiny for the $289 nightly rate (before taxes/fees) and the "petite queen" was ridiculous as it was a full-size bed, not a queen size bed. The location and the hotel are fine though.

I am good and booked for 3 more stays as well. I want to book this in future as well

Clean convenient nice hotel. Terrible parking. You can't call down for your car so I waited a long time for my vehicle at least 15 minutes. I stay here frequently and will do so again if I'm traveling by train but I won't park here and stay ever again

The hotel was hip, fun and the staff was very accommodating. We stayed with three kids under 10 and the room felt comfortable. The staff was friendly and we loved that the parking garage allows you to take your car in and out without additional charges. Great location too.

Close to MANY restaurants and offices. Friendliest staff of any hotel I've stayed out. Very accommodating.

The hotel is fine, the rooms are in good shape, but, they are not huge. The same goes for the bathroom, nice but not overly spacious.

Really accommodating staff, room was clean and comfortable, gym was well equipped, good location and good price. Would definitely go back and recommend to friends and family. We got the parking package, the garage was attached to the hotel so that was very handy!

Enjoyed the room as it was well appointed and great beds. Stayed there because of the Ruth's Chris restaurant = we wanted to see the new location.

As is numerously mentioned in Reviews on Orbitz, and others, the rooms have rather thin walls and excellent sound penetration between rooms as well as from the hallway. We stayed on the 19th floor. The room to the right of us hosted a family of three, with a young child. There is a connector door between our room and the adjacent room, for cases of two rooms booked simultaneously. The twin set of doors between the rooms has a gap between the door bottom and the floor of approx 0.5 of an inch allowing for nearly perfect sound penetration between the two rooms. One of the two doors has a door sweep, that is intended to help with insulation, but is rather poorly installed and does not reach from the door bottom to the floor threshold, leaving a gap. The front door to the room has a large gap at the bottom of the door 0.75 of an inch or so and smaller around the perimeter of the door. As a result, as soon as the family next door checked-in, I could hear almost all the noise generated by the child horse-playing and banging-around of the furniture. As I was watching a film later in the evening in my room (around 10:30PM), I recieved a call from the front desk, stating that my TV volume was too high and the family next door was disturbed by it. For the record, the volume on my TV was set at a reasonable volume, but I turned it lower anyway, as a courtesy. The following morning,I could hear lots of hallway noise,as guests were entering/departing, opening/shutting their doors.

The room is clean. The staff is welcome and patient .

My reservation was for a "Room with a view" however we were given a room with only a view of closed off swimming pool and a office building. Yes the hotel updated few of its furnitures and fixtures, to make it seem like a new hotel, but it needs to update the more important and practical things. Their doors kept slamming and the walls were so thin, so we heard a door slam every few minutes.

Hotel is very well kept, clean and maintained. Staff was polite and helpful this is a very nice place to stay.

We're glad that you enjoyed your experience overall, and especially the hotel's ideal location in Center City Philadelphia, with an exciting array of great shopping, dining, and attractions within steps of our entrance. I apologize for the arrival experience you've described. The valet employees work for the privately owned and managed parking garage, which is not affiliated with the hotel. However, our bellstaff is happy to step outside into the garage to assist with unloading your car if aware that help is being requested. We hope to host you again soon!

Dear Guest, Thank you for your recent stay at Sonesta Philadelphia. We are delighted you enjoyed your guestroom and our 8th floor seasonal rooftop pool. It's great to know you took advantage of our central location as there is so much to see and do just steps from our front doors! Regarding the noise, I do apologize that a few noisy neighbors disturbed your sleep—if anything happens like that again, please know that you can discretely dial the Front Desk to report the issue, and we will quickly investigate the issue and bring the disturbance to a halt. It's really important to us that our guests have a quiet and peaceful stay while making sure they have everything they need when at our home. Thank you again for your review and we look forward to welcoming you back again real soon! - Jordan C.
