King room is pretty small, but hotel location makes up for it.

Check in was flawless. Front desk agent - I think her name was Heather was quite pleasant and helpful. Don’t let her get away. Room decor was nice - nothing to write home about. Bed and pillows were quite awful. The bed spread may have been incorrectly placed as it was too small for the king bed. Would have been perfect for a queen. We enjoyed reasonablely priced cocktails a at the bar. Passion fruit drink special was extremely tasty! After returning from dinner was craving something sweet. Called room service for the Apple Tart Tatain. We added vanilla ice cream. Wow what a disappointment.........We received a very poor generic apple tart. Not even a close rendition of the french delicacy. The item sent to us was to say the least horrible and really left a poor impression of the hotel. Even the ice cream was poor quality. Would have never had this type of experience at a Four Seasons or Ritz.

We had to wait for room to be ready for more than an hour, our room was extremely small and too cold since the heat was not on. It was a very cold day. The next day my husband called valet to have our car ready at 11 am. They said that they will have to walk us to the car because the street was closed due to a parade, and just to walk down and they will do that. So thinking there was no wait for our car we had breakfast which was not great, service was too slow. Coffee kept running out without being replaced soon. When we were ready to leave they put our names and valet number down and said we have to wait 30 minutes. We waited over an hour and had to walk in the freezing cold. Two blocks to get our car and waited for it another 15 minutes. They still charged for valet service

Nice hotel.. staff were friendly and accommodating. Bed was very comfortable. Midnight room service menu was a little limited. But it was a perfect location in the heart of the city.

Great getaway for the weekend. Perfect location in center city. The food is excellent and the lounge area is so cozy having a drink by the fireplace. This is our new spot to getaway for a weekend in philly.

Two things. I ordered room service and someone in the Le Meridien kitchen "sold" my information to a fraudster. I got a call IN MY ROOM on the hotel phone from someone who claimed to be in "accounting". He asked about my recent room service order and knew that the total was $43.02. Then he said that there had been an accounting glitch and he wanted to refund the cost of the meal to the card I used to reserve the hotel. He claimed there were some problems with the AmEx system and then asked if he could make the refund to another card - Visa or M/C. My brain questioned, but this was someone calling with information only someone in the hotel could know. I gave my Visa card info, stupidly. Within minutes, an attempted charge of $300 was rejected. I had to cancel my Visa. FRAUDster in the kitchen staff. I also broke my pinkie toe on the bed frame, which inexplicably sticks out almost past the edge of the king bed. All in all a disappointing experience.

Was not aware that the hotel was under renovation and there was no lobby. Definitely expected more from this brand of hotel. Location was great but hotel lacked customer service and the rooms were not the cleanest. Would stay somewhere else next time.

Valets and bellhops are really considerate and helpful. Front desk needs at least 2 more workers during check-in times. Gym leaves much to be desired. TV channels don't really work. Had "Do not disturb" sign up but worker still disturbed; not cool. Bathroom shower had weird mustard colored stains; kind of gross but covered with towel so wasn't visible. Fairly central location. Bed is comfortable but sank in a great deal after one night of sleep (I'm less than 125 lbs so not a matter of weight; perhaps the mattress pads needs to be replaced :)). Would've been nice to have cloth slippers in the room like most higher end hotels...

Initial contact with hotel staff was excellent! Rhea was super friendly, helpful, and took her time to make sure that I was going to be comfortable so my immediate customer experience was very positive. The other staff members were also friendly and helpful - they know how to look after customers!

It is very close to the city hall,good location that it is also close to the China Town, the amenities are great, but they don't offer breakfast, and the wifi is not free.

Nice place to stay. On New Years day there was a parade of some sort so driving in search for food was a nightmare. Every street we wanted to go down was blocked off. Only thing wrong with the room was the iron didnt work. One thing I didnt like was being told my car would take 15 minutes to get to valet. It came in less time though ,and $40 to park for a night is a bit pricey. Other than that it was comfortable.

Location was perfect in the middle of Central Philly. Staff was outstanding, very friendly, and exceedignly helpful for anything we needed. Room was a little small, but all we needed for our short stay.

Centrally located. Friendly & courteous staff. Hotel was nicely furnished with a great lobby bar. Room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. I would stay there again.

I was surprised at how nice this hotel is. From the outside it does not look like much at all but inside it's pretty modern and well decorated and the rooms reflect the same.

There was a fire alarm and the hotel offered breakfast coupons. Rooms were nice and convenient neighborhood for sightseeing.

A nice but unusual hotel - an old buiding transformed within its shell with a smallish, but a comfortable room. A sliding door to access the bathroom was a bit strange. It actually got stuck in a closed postion needing a call to the front desk for help. Fortunately, I was on the right side - the bedroom! With no telephone in the bathroom, communication could have made for a serious problem.

Le Meridien is ideally located in Center City a block or so from City Hall, within a short walk of Independence Park, Museum Parkway, and the Reading Terminal Market. The world-class Philadelphia Institute for Fine Arts (home to the Gross Clinic, several Stuart portraits of Washington, and many other important American paintings) is around the corner. The staff are uniformly helpful and friendly, and the rooms are clean. It's an ideal hotel for those looking for a unique space but don't want to sacrifice modern conveniences. In all, it is underpriced, and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Phila.

Seemed that we could walk to most any of the sites we wanted to see, like the Liberty Bell. The Reading Market (I think that is the name) is a do not miss experience and it is 2 blocks from the hotel. Staff was warm, welcoming and extremely helpful when we had questions.
