Kimpton Hotel Monaco Philadelphia

This was my first time in a Kimpton hotel, expectations were exceeded. The room was perfect. AC was ice cold which was a welcome relief as it was about 90 degrees outside and probably 90% humidity outside. The room wasn't huge, but it was well laid out. Furnishings were nice. Was able to check in at 2pm with no issues. Your mileage may vary. One amazing thing that has never happened before for me in any hotel was that for the entire night from 1AM - 8AM I did not hear one noise at all. It was dead silence. I am a very light sleeper myself and I get annoyed to hear door slammings, ice makers, people talking in the hallways, etc. So for whatever reason, not sure if it was pure luck or what, I didn't hear any cars, planes, people or anything. My room was an interior room and didn't have much of a view except the other rooms windows. I am certainly looking forward to my next stay at a Kimpton.

Loved this hotel especially our room. It had a modern, elegant but with a few quirky fun surprises. They thought of everything to make your stay comfy. Highly recommend the bar next store too.

Hotel staff are great! Especially, the people near the registration (registration people were helpful too) and at the door. A shout out to the tall guy with beard (Forgot to get his name)! Our kids liked him with his help with the bikes!

Great location and cool feel as well as nice staff

Hotel overall was excellent. Notes for improvement. Detail cleaning was a little low in that there were stains on the dusted ruffle and on the cylindrical pillow on the bed. There where dirty marks on the outside door frame in the hall way. Probably something only I would notice. Water pressure in the shower was just ok. Bed was very cozy. Resturant down stair was top notch. For breakfast and dinner. The raw juice at the breakfast was awesome. Location was great parking garage on behind the Franklin next door is cheap.

Everything was nice but I wish they had had a coffee pot in the room.

It's a good hotel, average only, with $46 parking fee - valet only - unless you park elsewhere, $25 each time you enter/leave. No breakfast is included. The rooftop bar is nice. No Keurig in room. The only available coffee and hot chocolate are in the lobby, served in the morning. Not bad, but I would stay elsewhere next time.

I love this hotel. It has a very convenient location, wonderful decor and lobby, extremely efficient and friendly staff, useful amenities, and beautiful/ modern/large rooms with a view. You really get a sense of the unique location in Philadelphia as well as the modern style you expect from a Kimpton Hotel. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Nice hotel with great location. Room was smaller than expected and some of the bathroom fixtures were a little rusty. Great overall but seemed a little overpriced.

My friend and I decided to visit Philadelphia for Christmas. This place has it all: great location, amazing amenities, and one of the best values of any hotel. Next to independence hall and the visitor center. Restaurants are just two blocks away. And don't forget the wine happy hour EVERY day from 5-6, great way to end a day in the city. Beds are super comfy. Everything about this hotel is excellent and the rates were reasonable. In a big city with many great hotel choices, you should definitely give the Kimpton Monaco a try.

Beautiful boutique hotel that is pet friendly and centrally located

Very boutique and lovely hotel. Bold and quirky decor but it comes together with class. You can't beat the location for sightseeing or the gorgeous views. The staff is exceptional and all around fantastic.

Hotel is gorgeous. In room service staff is amazing, as well as housekeeping. Unfortunately the front desk is not welcoming, and a bit uninterested. Perhaps it was a busy time, but still.

The Hotel Monaco is in one of the best locations in Philadelphia and by far has the best staff we have ever experienced!

Service was too notch, room is spacious and comfortable. Gorgeous architecture and decor. Would have liked a coffee maker but they would have brought one if I asked. I am coming back for sure.

Helpful friendly staff always willing to do whatever they could. Nobody ever acted as if that's not my job. Perfect location to step right out the door and step into the historical sights of Philly. Yummy food venues very close to walk to. Very safe day and night. Rooms, fitness center, lobby, everything comfortable and pampering after lots of walking. Would come back without any hesitation!

I only stayed for 1 night. The front desk employees were PHENOMENAL however my room was extremely dusty. The room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Dust on window sills, beds, desk, and end tables. Room service did eventually come to dust but they only spent 45 seconds doing it. I ended up doing it myself. I also had to request a room service menu and had to call down to the front desk twice for it. If you ever have stayed here you know that they give you a book to read (Alice in wonderland). There was no book in my room. I had to call down to the front desk again to make sure I wouldn't be charged for it in case they thought I took it home. The charge would of been $35. Seems more like a house cleaning issue. Everything else was great minus the filthy room. Even the bartenders at Red Owl and the roof top bar went out of their way to make everyone happy!

It was a beautify hotel, amazing staff, great location. Red owl tavern has great food and service. I wish my trip was longer. Will defiantly stay at Monaco if I come to Philly.

Overall a great stay. My family party of three in town to see the Pope. Excellent location. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Workout room well equipped. Restaurant served delicious food. Thank you Monaco staff!

The location of this hotel can't be beat. Also, the happy hour is a plus!

Sid. I'm so glad that you and your family were able to have an overall great stay and that you had the chance to use our Public bikes. I'm sorry to hear that your drain was not working properly but I'm very happy to hear that one of our team members was able to leave a lasting impression on you all.
