The townhome was in bad shape. Musty smelling with water draining underneath the dwelling into the ground. There were many flying and crawling insects. The bed / furniture was terribly old and uncomfortable. The pots and pans were very warn and old. The entire dwelling needs an update with fresh paint, updated showers restrooms, doors, windows , siding and base boards replaced. Many pieces were crumbling off. The pipes make noise all day. The washer had a fowl smell coming from it and made aloud noises while operating. The doors don’t fit and are falling off the laundry closet. Overall the beach is beautiful and we were lucky to have great weather. I have used VRBO for over 20 years and am a frequent traveler. This is my first complaint. I was astounded that someone would charge folks over 3000 of hard earned money to stay in such an uncomfortable place. It saddens me that property owners/ agents do not take morePride in the experience and Accommodations they are delivering. I wasn’t expecting a grand place. However cleanliness and upkeep, with comfortable furniture and amenities , should at the very least be staples of any property. Lastly, the property manager spoke to me after my arrival and said he was taken aback by my complaints. I won’t even go into how inappropriate a response that was. I was taken aback, as there was no offer of a discount or aSolution to the issues. Furthermore , housekeeping showed up at 7:30am the day of departure. No warning. Just walked in
