I think when you're travelling a lot its nice to arrive at a hotel and be able to sit in the fresh air for a while and unwind. Its an older hotel (70s) maybe but if was clean and comfortable. Rooms are a good size and athroom well appointed.
I would recommend the Ramada in Kelowna B.C. for multiple reasons, first, the location.. It is close to everything! Downtown, shopping( Orchard Park, across the highway) restraunts everywhere.(including Perkins, right in the hotel) The service was great and the staff was friendly and always very helpful.
This is a good location, easy to access, and right off the main highway. The price is a bit high considering there is no continental breakfast. Pool and hot tub are nice also, but no shower area to rinse off in, or change. Attached restaurant has pretty good food, but is a little pricey if you order separate items off the menu..😕
Travelling with a large group. Check in was quick with friendly and helpful staff. Room was spacious and clean. It is an older hotel and showing a few signs of wear and tear, but overall it is clean and comfortable. Our room was at the back corner on a busy intersection. The traffic did calm down during the night, but started early on a Sunday morning. We enjoyed an excellent buffet meal at the hotel. Well done and tasty.
This hotel is in a great location with access to the main mall right across the street. The restaurant is right there in the hotel which is very convenient when you have children. But the rooms, hallways, elevator are very old, worn out and dated. This place should be updated considering the price a person pays.
Stayed on Easter long weekend and had a less than restful time. No soundproofing and slamming doors due to older building perhaps or ill fitting door jams? We had to slam our door to make it close so I do not blame any of the guests for the noise but rather the age or maintenance of the hotel itself. Even after the thudding of upstairs and slamming doors subsided there was the noise from the street, the attached pub and sirens that kept me awake. The bed was u comfortable, the room was on the small side, no microwave in room and a beverage fridge that was not on and took a long time to get cold. I asked about bcaa rate but there was no discount, the room was more expensive than I was told on the phone and there was a mishap with my phone booking as they only booked me in for one night. Luckily we were able to stay as the trip was for 2 night stay. Over $200 a night with taxes and was not money well spent. I tried to express my concern to front desk and was told oh it's noisy due to the sport teams all staying there. I tried to explain the slamming door issue but was ignored. I messaged on their facebook for a manager contact info but no message back. Sorry Ramada my family was not impressed and it put a damper on our weekend.
This is a good mid range hotel, they have loft suites, that are great for families. The rooms were clean and the front desk efficient. We were with a group and everyone had issues with their key cards, and getting into the rooms - at least once a day we had to get them re-keyed. It was a busy weekend, but we could hear everything going on in the corridors, even regular conversations. The swimming pool was great and not the usual bit too cold pool, and even with the number of people towels were kept refreshed.
I was at the Ramada for a professional workshop. There was no bike rack at the front of the building. I locked my bike to a bench, but Jeramie told me that his boss would like me to move it to the back of the building. Eventually, I found the bike rack at the back but was unable to lift my bike high enough up onto the rack. I can't imagine any of Kelowna's many cycling tourists or locals being happy staying at this hotel.
We stayed in this hotel for two nights the rooms are clean and quite large. It's a great hotel if you are not keen on driving around because the mall is directly across the street there is a restaurant and a pub attached and also a cold beer and wine store on the property. The pool area was nice but very crowded when went down to it so we never really got to use it. All in all I would say good bang for your buck.
When we arrived at the hotel, we were offered an upgrade and the who experience was really amazing. We were fortunate enough to enjoy the hot tub by ourselves, which is a big plus! The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The suite was very clean and the extra room upstairs was great!
