Everyone working went above and beyond to assist me. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quality place to stay who also want to be treated well. The hotel is located smack in the middle of everything in Nottingham also so location is prime. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!
This is a convenient location to the square but that is about it. The breakfast staff were amazing and cheerful... the dinner experience was less than pleasurable. (Two hours to get dinner in an nearly empty restaurant). Rooms are in dire need of remodeling. They look like they are starting a renovation based on the scaffolding set up outside. They're
Got an early check in. Reception staff are very friendly. Bar staff are really friendly. Room was really nice. Floor 5. Very clean and spacious. Breakfast was self service but had a very good choice. Hot well cooked and again very friendly staff. Can definitely recommend. Thank u for a lovely stay.
Context: paid for a family room twice, many months in advance when mistakenly paid for a best price room thinking it was a flexi rate. Immediately to find a better rate at Booking.Com who kindly wrote to the hotel to invite their discretion. They chose not to reply. In the week before, the hotel rang to confirm reservation. When this was raised again, the response was an unsympathetic 'terms and conditions' and 'no.' Customer is king? Maybe not. Will try to be kinder with this review than the hotel was with my mistake or my fee. Directions. For a strange one way access to the hotel, the directions were excellent and user friendly. The car park is immediately opposite the hotel and at a reduced rate. Exterior & interior. Many reviews talk of it being tired. I disagree. The decor and facilities are perfectly fine and if there is ongoing renovation, so much better. Elevators were numerous and fast. Check-in was fast. The room. A vast family room that everyone was really pleased with. Modern, clean and easy on the eye. Both adults and the 8 year old would happily have taken the beds home with us they were so comfortable. Bathroom was large, clean and well appointed. Water was hot and plentiful. Exterior noise was noticeable but in a city centre on a busy street it was no worse than any other major city. The noise from floorboards in the room above was far worse and should be included in any ongoing reservation. Breakfast. Outstanding value and service from friendly, helpful staff. The choice was varied and high quality. Options included amongst other things freshly made omelettes on request and a pancake machine that we'd seen nowhere else in the world and which made great pancakes. Bravo. Dinner at the Bric in-house restaurant. Extremely poor and management needs to take a good look at this. Staff were noticeably younger and less organised/directed than the breakfast crew. Multiple waitresses falling over each other, muddling orders and returning from the kitchen to announce orders were unavailable and replacement orders would be delivered at different times; only for the original order to suddenly become available. Understand that a family wants to eat together and at the same time. Quality and cost of the evening fayre was noticeably poorer, smaller portions, more expensive and overall, not good value. A kitchen that can deliver in the morning should also be able to do so in the evening. Any convenience for a family eating in, is offset by an unhappy, expensive experience when there are better options nearby. The best indication that this restaurant is misfiring (and pretentiously so) is that their child's menu ice cream and brownie was served on a very adult piece of slate. Even the 8 year old recognised that service would have been more appropriate in a dish! Overall, yes all of the family would happily stay here again as it is a comfortable hotel, that when it delivers, does so really well. Are there areas for an improvement? Pricepoint, customer service, the Bric...yes, very much so.
The location is perfect for both shopping and nightlife etc however the parking isn't ideal with very limited spaces. There is a multi storey straight opposite so it would be good if they set up some kind of discounted rate there for those who can't use the hotel car park. The rooms we're in my opinion really nice! Very spacious with a big bathroom. The extra sliding windows did a great job of keeping the noise out and the radiator and fan we're ample to control the room temperature. We did get evacuated at 6:30 due to a small fire but the staff response was great and by the time we woke up after going back to bed we found a letter under the door apologizing for the inconvenience! Can't fault the hotel or staff just needs better a better parking arangment!
Was staying in Hilton London Hyde Park and was aware that their Nottingham property would be my home for about a week or so. Inquired a bit and got positive reviews from friends and acquaintances who had stayed in the property. On reaching I found the location to be a clincher. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is elaborate and there is a plethora of options to choose from in the nearby areas in terms of food and shopping. Recommended.
The hotels staff aren't understanding, charging the wrong rates, the room was dated and dingey - so much so I refused to even stay there at all. The paper was peeling off the corridor walls, the carpets all over were very old and worn, the windows were filthy, the appliances in the room very rusted, the bed was poorly made with the sheets not even matching. The manager didnt even query how she could help or why I refused to stay there.
Having stayed here on a few occasions we always get the best service and warmest welcome. If going anywhere we always search for a Hilton first. The staff here are wonderful and the hotels amenities and breakfast are second to none! 100% recommend
We arrived just after 2pm although the booking said room available from 3. There was a room except that when we got there the key card didn't work. Turns out they'd had a power cut and the IT system wasn't yet working properly. So the housekeeper let us in to the room, then came back with a wee basket of goodies by way of an apology. Although clearly stressed the staff were all charming and pleasant and went out of their way to put things right. The building could do with a little TLC, but the team are spot on.
Great location, impossible to drive to because of all the bus lanes. Parking at nearby Trinity Square is fine, discounted rate from the hotel. Check-in and out, very efficient. Breakfast is excellent. We were disappointed that the hotel is having work done which we were not advised about. Our room had plastic sheeting over the window so could not see out and the room got very stuffy. Good facilities in the room (no fridge), very comfortable bed, ideal place to walk around Nottingham from.
