I do appreciate the free parking and the varied selection for the complimentary breakfast. It was nice that they rotated between poached eggs and sausage one morning and scrambled eggs and bacon the next. I was disappointed that there wasn't a self-serve guest laundry available onsite as we have been traveling several days and needed to wash clothes. Getting to the metro stop wasn't as close as I hoped. Blocks in DC are very long. Though the walk was manageable, the shuttle pick-up and drop-off wasn't clear. Also we didn't always arrive on the hour, so it would have been more useful if it ran every 1/2 hour during the peak times.

We visited D.C. In July. The hotel was nice and clean. They provided a free shuttle to the metro that was very handy. The breakfasts were good and with good selection to pick from.

close to highways - parking and wifi bundled in without any hassle

Convenient to everything. Free parking AND walkable to Ballston metro station. Restaurants nearby. Breakfast is more than adequate. Staff friendly and helpful. Clean rooms, comfy beds. Can't stress enough how convenient this place is to Gtown, Old Town, DC, Ft. Meyer.... As for value: a true and outright bargain. Notable offsets: Yes, it might be nice to have a pool (one of the children's favorite options), but you are not going to get one (esp. A CLEAN one) at anything near this price -- nor the free breakfast, parking and WiFi (which drives me *nuts* when it's tacked on). Rollaway bed is $15/night. Could be cheaper (or free). Charge less = more usage = higher revenue for a sunk-cost item. We *might* have paid $10/night or a one-time $15 "convenience" fee, but not ~15% of total room charge. Modest suggestions to the owners: Delete business center (biz travelers don't need them anymore). Maybe make it a game room? Maybe offer free (or "borrowable") metro cards -- not with value on them but just the card (which costs $2). Or even a "metro exchange": we are leaving DC with six metro cards; we would have happily donated them to other guests. On-demand movie rentals to augment basic cable? In today's allergy-obsessed world, breakfast could include, e.g., almond milk, gluten-free waffle batter and (for purchase, perhaps) real maple syrup, etc. That's about it. Family of five *very* satisfied with this clean and comfy bargain. Second time staying, likely not the last.

Clean, very spacious room, good internet connection, complimentary breakfast available early enough for those who need to go to work nearby.

Everything was nice. They have a shuttle to Ballston Metro that runs (for most of the day) on the hour. Free wifi. A real breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, do-it-yourself waffles). Note that rates vary widely; during my stay they were quite low for the area, but at other times they are competitive to too high.

Room was clean, upgraded, nice sheets. 2 miles away from Washington DC Close to grocery store and plenty restaurants

If it would drive you nuts to pay for parking -- or wifi, if your offspring demand breakfast RIGHT NOW... this could be your best bet. Staff were efficient and friendly. Everything was clean. Hotel is SUPER convenient to highways and attractions (and Metro). Given how much is included, this place was a bargain. Very satisfied.

The room is spacious, but the condition is not good. The sink was partially blocked, the room was noisy, and there is smoking smell in the room.

Two adults and two teenage kids sharing a room but there was plenty of room in the 2 queen+sofa bed room. Bathroom had a vanity and sink outside of the toilet/shower area which was nice when we were all trying to get ready. Staff was friendly and helpful and breakfast was adequate.

The room had plenty of space. Conviently located. Free parking was a nice plus!

Well located in Wash. Blvd. near the heart of Ballston. A hotel just to spend a few days. No luxuries, nothing fancy. The bathroom floors could have been a bit cleaner. The only other critique I got is that the breakfast area gets very crowded and is too small. The front desk was always nice.

Breakfast tableware and cutlery were of plastic! Absolutely unacceptable for environmental reasons!

Very good hotel with reasonable service. Not too much fancy decor and style like westin and hyatt, but much more affordable. and whats more - free breakfast, free parking, free internet.

Good location. Great staff! Comfortable room! Updated and fresh! Lots of local restaurants nearby.

Location good for what we needed. Clean, efficient. Breakfast included.

The employees are rude! Dust fall from the ceiling, no-stopping. I complaint about the dust, falling, they just say, sorry, that's it.

Everything was fine excerpt for the fact that hot water wasn't available on the morning of departure.

This is a very good option for people visiting Arlington, VA, or even Washington, DC. It is about 10 min walk from the Ballston Metro station (they even run shuttles there on the hour). Breakfast was included, typical cold/hot buffet items, reasonable quality. Not very crowded at breakfast time.

I was overall pleased with this hotel. The complementary breakfast was really nice. The metro is a nice walk away, less than 10 minutes. I also really like that they have a free metro shuttle to the metro station if yo9u don't want to walk. The only complaint I might make is the mattresses are really hard and there was no microwave in the room. I would stay again.
